Such an awesome professor. He is so funny but very smart and goes whatever it takes to make his student learn the subject. It's a shame he's no longer in our department.

Great prof. Very knowledgeable and makes great jokes and parables to relate to the material. A very fair marker, tells you exactly what is expected of you and keeps his word. Has interesting assignments and is very friendly.

He's very cute and quirky, a nice guy, entertaining, and he knows his stuff. (PHD in Classics from Harvard!) He's not the best at teaching, but that's just because he's new. Some of his lectures can get a little confusing and I found it was just better to learn it out of the text. But he's definitely not a bad prof, and he's a lot of fun.

If you're looking for a serious class, you're probably not going to take Greek and Roman mythology. This class is funny, enlightening, and such a nice break from the usually tedious class. His subjects aren't serious, so he doesn't take them that way. No one is in greek and roman mythology for anything other than an easy A, and if you are well...

Hey, give the guy a break, he broke his collar bone! Roman is quirky, he juggles and cracks silly jokes, but very helpfull and clear for tests. He will make you love greek and roman mythology even more. easy going and if you see him outside of class is glad to give advice.

Taking a month to mark a 2 page paper is completely unacceptable. Do you professors understand that students don't give a crap about your research only our grades. Easy course, jokes are not funny only annoying, not that good a juggling either

SO FUNNY! I loved this class, he was one of the reasons I decided to do a Greek and Roman Studies Minor! I adored him to pieces, loved his ties, and his random bits of information! Seriously, take any class you can with him, it's a blast!

Insultingly easy. Tries way to hard to be 'quirky' and make his students like him, which i found extremely annoying. Take this class for the easiest A you'll ever get, but look elsewhere if you're after a serious discussion of the classics.

He was HILARIOUS! No really, he juggled and even stood on a chair the last day of class and gave a dramatic speech impersonating a Sabine woman. You will laugh everyday, and get a good mark. Go to the lectures! It's worth it!!! Btw, really easy quizzes :

never thought a harvard-educated greek and roman studies professor could be so funny. i look forward to his classes and even if the tests are super easy, the assignments are somewhat challenging and worthwhile. great guy - he juggles while he lectures

Weird and oddly funny, but because the class was an hour and a half, it could get a little dull. His tests are a joke, I was worried about taking a 2nd year class in 1st year, but it was by far my easiest class of the semester.

Aw, he's so great! I thought it would be hard and boring learning about Classic Mythology but now I just love it so much and read Homer for fun just because of the way he makes everything so hilarious! I love going to that class!

Dr. Roman was great! His classes *are* dead easy, but I think he just doesn't care about "evaluating" his students as long as they're learning and (more importantly) enjoying the material.
