She is super nice. There are 3 papers the whole semester. The lecture and class itself are super boring but an easy A if you don't miss more than 3 classes. However, this class really taught me how to write proper college essays. If you struggle with essays this is the class to take!

Dr. Mitchell is the best professor in the English Department. She is clear and consise in her assignments, helpful in her individual meetings, and informative in her lectures. She is truly great at her job and really cares for her students. All other professors should take notes from Dr. Mitchell.

This course is during Student Teaching and Dr. Mitchell is the English Content Supervisor that observes and evaluates you during your placement. She is THE BEST. Amazing feedback, always highlights your strengths, and takes the time to help you figure out where you can improve and still grow as a teacher. She is the perfect role model. Love her!

This is the Adolescence English Methods course if you are pursuing a degree in English Adolescent Education Grades 7-12. This class prepares you for Student Teaching. Always a small class size because it's an upper level course, requires presentations, readings, multiple papers, and drawn out unit plan for 1 month and lessons within it. Worth it!

I took ENGL 348 with Dr. Mitchell and it's an American Lit. class called Environmental Humanities, which studies literature focusing on nature. She is so passionate about this topic and it shows in her teaching and it was an amazing experience to take with her and I'm so glad I did! She does assign a lot of reading for homework, but she's worth it!

Dr. Mitchell is the gem of the English Department here at Nazareth, and if you have an opportunity to take a class with her, TAKE IT! She's amazing and genuinely is interested in her content and her students and will always be there if you need any help. I've taken 5 classes with her now and I wish I could've taken more with her! She's the best!

I have had multiple classes with Dr. Mitchell (3) and she is, by far, my favorite professor at Naz. She gets that literature is everywhere and that you can study everything from poems about paintings and web series (my PEQ Transmedia) to comics to nonfiction. Amazing readings, and she teaches you theories too. Take anything she teaches!

Women in Literature was an eye-opening class. We started way back with medieval writers and Virginia Woolf and made our way all the way to amazing writers like the Nigerian Chimanda Adichie (wow!) and Persepolis. I love that we found common themes from Ancient Greece to now, including online blogging. Dr. Mitchell is my favorite English prof.

Dr. Mitchell is easily one of the most brilliant professors I've had while studying at Nazareth. I loved her class, though she did expect a lot of us. I thought the course was a bit heavy with the readings, but honestly, I feel like I got so much out of it. She was very flexible with extensions too, which is nice.

This was the class I dreaded taking the most because English is not my friend and as a Bio major who cares anyway. But it's actually my most useful class this semester and I think because we practiced incorporating evidence paraphrasing so early in the semester it paid off in my PEQ classes already. Plus she changes it up so it doesn't drag.

This course was called Transmedia Adaptations which I didn't understand at first but then really enjoyed it. It's a combined literature and media class and we read and watched all kinds of things and then talked abuot social media theory for the second half of the class. Hard sometimes, but really interesting. Wonderful professor.

I just finished the final exam for Creative Non-fiction and even if I get a C in this class which I probably will, I think it was the most valuable class I've ever taken. Strange new books, all different, like nothing i've ever read and podcasts that make you question the difference between fiction and fact. Smart professor knows her stuff.
