She was very opinionative and didnt open up for anyone elses opinion. She made it very difficult to have different veiws than her. She was constantly off topic so we ran out of class time, and expected us to know the information she didnt present. She didnt post those missed powerpoints till a month later. Do not recommend.

Professor Anwary is not a good professor. I had her online class and she communicates with the class very little. Unfortunately, she does not have a great grasp on English, so everything she posts is worded badly. Sometimes it is unclear what she is trying to say because her grammar and wording are so poor. She should go back to school.

I took SOC150 Social Problems with her online in the summer, and it was so difficult! Lectures were long, tests were hard, and she was very inconvenient. I'm an A student and I struggled. There are 3 exams, and if you are not available at the exact date and time posted, you get a 0. Interesting course material, inconvenient class.

Anwary''s great if you understand her teaching style. Passionate but expects you to come to class with a clear comprehension of the material. Will give you a hard time if you don''t participateget things wrong but if you meet with her outside of class she''s very eager to help with anything you''re confused about. Has high expectations that''s all.

Unable to understand her or the material she puts together for class. She is unwilling to discuss issues with students and is extremely condescending. She is arrogant and clearly feels she is "above" her position at MSUM, yet remains there. Do not take classes with her. Her teaching style is neither interesting nor engaging.

I took two classes with her. If you come to class and read what she asks you to, the class is very easy in my opinion. She discusses everything in depth and the notes she has you take in class are almost verbatim what she wants you to write on her essay tests. The final test is actually a take-home essay paper, which again follows her notes.

Dr. Anwary is easily one of the most clear teachers when it comes to exams. She literally gave us the questions for the essays a week in advance to study. Her class is great assuming you understand how sociology works. She's not allowed to give extra credit because her class average grade is too high. Just show up and your golden.

Dr. Anwary is a great professor. As a student in the class you need to do the readings and participate to do well. Also she does essay exams so it's good to be prepared for that. I really like her because she does not do any power points, and it's more seminar style.

Afroza Anwary is an excellent teacher. She is very interested in students learning. She uses a feminist perspective of participatory learning- yep that means you have to participate! She is tough- but that is what prepares one for the "real world" If you show initiative- she will bend over backwards to help you.

The class was not as hard as everyone says. She is very unclear at times but as long as you hand in every assingment on time and answer all of the questions she is looking for you will get a good grade. I didn't always participate in discussions but I studied hard for tests and completed all assignments and received and A in the class.

Difficult to understand because of accent. Did not use class-time well at all. Many times preached politics and did not teach class. Pretty easy class but her teaching it made me have no interest at all in it.

Do not take! She is unclear and very opinionated, nobodies opinions count but hers. Also, she grades on participation, doesnt matter how much you particiapte, you still get a bad grade, or she cant remember who the hell you are! She is by far one of the teachers I disliked the most. I could go on and on. Just horrible!
