Comment:

New the material better than any other math prof I've had, describes interesting connections to other areas of mathematics and included some history of math in lectures. Grading was fair. He can sometimes be quiet, so it's good to sit near the front.

I am not a big fan of Real Analysis, but Sourour made it a great course. Assignments and tests are hard, but he usually chooses interesting questions. Be prepared to sit at the front of class if you want to hear what he is saying.

Ring Theory. Wow. Sourour is a very good teacher. He gives so many insights that you will never find in a textbook. Be prepared to work very hard. Every minute is worth it, though.

Best math prof at UVic. Knows everything inside out, rarely needs notes even when he's proving complicated theorems. Great analogies, this guy really knows how to teach
