Ajit puts all the materials you'll need on blackboard which makes things super nice to move at your own pace. Attendance is optional but I highly suggest going- the professor is hilarious and goes over the lecture material redundantly so there's plenty of opportunities for clarification of concepts & he'll tell you what will be on the exams.

This class is very interesting but also very impossible to get an A in. The class is based out of 300 possible points and if you have one bad test then you have no chance of redeeming yourself. Professor Sharma is very intelligent and gives great material to study from, but the class structure is what makes this class so frustrating.

Awesome teacher. I just kept up on the work and studied a few hours each night. It was an easy A. The grading scale sucks though so get ready to study.

Sharma is a very good professor. The class is difficult because there are very few assignments so it is difficult to get an A.

Sharma is your one and only choice for 421, but he's a good one. His lectures are enjoyable and meaningful if you're pre-med, pre-PA, etc. However, the structure and grade scale for the class is awful. Getting a solid A is near impossible if you slip up once. Quizzes and exams make your final grade. ACS final. Get ready to work!

1. Sharma is great. 2. Do not underestimate the material. Make sure you keep up with it and regularly review it because your first exam is half way through the semester. Go to class even when you're just doing notes because you don't need to know everything and it's a lot easier to review just what he tells you in class you need to know.

Very smart, does a great job at lecturing, funny at times, overall good professor. Organization of this class HORRIBLE. We didn't get our first exam until 2 months into the semester. Second exam was 1 week before our final, and we have to take 2 exams the day of finals. RIDICULOUS. Very little chance to get points if you do bad on the exams.

It's not the material that's tough in this class - it's actually very surface level information that you've probably learned elsewhere. What is tough about the class is the amount of points that are offered and his grading scale. 3 exams, 2 assignments, 2 quizzes, and a grading scale where only 95%+ is an A. It's a fun class and he's a good guy.

Attendance is not mandatory, but it's still suggested you show up to class. He tells you a lot that will be on his exams that's not in the course packet. Color-code your notes-- it helps keep things straight on the diagrams. He is a very nice professor & is willing to help you, you just have to be willing to put forth the effort to pass this class.

Hands down one of the best chemistry professors I have ever had. I have always struggled in this subject but he makes biochemistry as easy as possible to learn. His course packet has everything you need and he is always willing to help you in his office hours. He is passionate and wants students to succeed!

This class is extremely hard, we had two exams and two homework assignments so you have to do good on all of them. He gave us two finals one was an acs exam which had stuff on it we never even went over which was bs. He seems like a nice guy but I don't get why he doesn't want people to do well in this class

Sharma prides himself in his students getting poor grades. He refuses to answer students questions both during class & after. He believes he is only there to facilitate ur learning, not to teach ( yes this is a quote). He is very difficult and very useless.

Very hard class! You need lots of study time! The lectures are easy and understandable but the tests are a different story. He gives a course pack, the textbook is NOT needed. There are only 4 tests in the class and one 10 point assignment so every point counts! Dr. Sharma is a great guy and pretty funny!

I personally did not do well in this class due to other events in my life, although I really enjoyed the class. He is straight-forward and his tests come directly from what you learn in lecture. Make sure you pay attention in class and review notes a lot because of the loads and loads of information you get each class!!

Professor Sharma is a very nice man. Kind of quiet at times. Study hard for the tests because the only points you get in the class are made up from the 4 tests. Follow the notes he gives and review them after class. Do extra problems also. Just go to class and study and you should do fine.

Ajit, is awesome! I love him and his love for kittens. I would NOT BUY THE BOOK. I didn't use it at all. I opened it once and it wasn't worth the money. Go to class and take good notes. The second exam is fairly hard. Definitely go over the review questions! <3

Dr. Sharma is a great prof! He breaks everything down really well. Go to class, and follow along with coursepack. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK! The second test is really hard, so study hard on that. Always do the review problems! I would redo the class problems too. Dr. Sharma is happy to help you understand. He worked with me for over and a half one time

Dr. Sharma is the cutest little man ever! His accent doesnt hinder in learning. His tests are pretty straight forward. Just do the coursepack and you'll be fine. Heads up, the ACS final is really hard, but im pretty sure he curves it, so dont freak out! I definitely reccomend him for chemistry! p.s. when he says element it sounds like elephant :)

Dr. Sharma is hilarious! He is so helpful and VERY clear! i definately recommend taking him. Just attend class and follow along with the coursepack! There are study guides/practice tests that he gives the answers to a couple days before the exam. STUDY THAT!!! Other than that, you should have no problem getting an A!
