He is a great professor and I was very happy to have him. I have found most professors are open about focusing on their research and treating lectures as seconds but Prof Faroque is a great lecturer who cares about his students and it shows in his lectures. He was one of the few economics professors who inspired me. Thank you for a great course!

Terrible prof. the TA's do all they can to give you less than a perfect mark for a perfect answer. 8/10's and 9/10's for answers identical to the profs solutions so make sure you get faroque to remark it.overall, take this class with some of the other profs who give multiple choice tests. don't take this class thinking you will get a 90.

I got pretty decent grades without attending class and barely studying because his tests are all the same from year to year but the marking is a little fuct up and his class is really boring. He also said the first half of the class wasnt going to be on the final, and he lied. He's so jittery and makes mistakes and forgets things often.

He takes each chapter really slow and explains concepts in a slow manner, but allows you to have a chance to digest things. Going to his class is equivilent to just reading the text at home. If you get the concepts quite easily listening to his lectures can drag on.
