Comment:

Overall, I would say that Argento is a decent professor. He is very knowledgeable and generally keeps your attention during class. However, his notes will seem disorganized if you've had Huntley, and his handwriting is terrible. Your grade is made up of 4 exams, a final, and lab reports. He does curve, but biomechanics is still a hard course

Argento isn't bad. He's respectable, but is also pretty intense. Take good notes! If you keep up to date with course material & would prefer having 8 quizzes to a couple big exams then take Argento. Otherwise take Huntley. I got a poor grade but it was due to a lack of effort on my part. Dynamics is tough so be prepared to put in the time!

Argento gives you 8 quizzes and a final. He also gives you 10 different copies of old quizzes to prepare for each quiz and you get to drop the lowest score. What's not to like about that? If you have a question, ask him and he will answer. Not the devil people make Him out to be. Dynamics is a hard course and he expects the best out of you.

I don't know about dynamics, but you can tell he has some passion for the subject and provides a very clear lecture with well planned notes, which makes up some for the only half decent course book.

Argento started the first day of class telling students not to come to him for help, so I didnt. He lists a tutor in his syllabus, go see him instead. You are given all of the old quizzes and tests at the start of the semester. DO ALL OF THE OLD QUIZZES AND TESTS and see the tutor if you need help. Homework was not graded so I didnt use the book.

Argento has no soul. He would not make eye contact with students all semester and just told them they were wrong. No willingness to help inside or outside of class. His final was absolutely absurd. Do not take him!

He expects more from you than most other professors up through the 345 class. However he knows his stuff, and lectures well. It's a bit of a difficult subject, so if you KEEP UP and DO THE HOMEWORK it's do-able. He's hard, but not the monster some make him out to be. He's very consistent. Practice tests are like the real test.
