Don't take mechanics of solids (ECS 325) with levy. Crazy hard exams, lots and LOTS of material to cover. Gives a quiz every Friday. Weights are as given: quizzes 10%, hw 10%, 2 tests worth 20 % each and final worth 30%.

Levy is by far the best professor I have had up to this point in college. He is amazing at explaining the material during lectures. If you have a question, he answers it in complete detail. His test are somewhat difficult but it's very possible to get good grades if you put in the work.

An amazing Professor. Explains things very well. Makes you really interested in the subject. I find it hard to focus since his goatee make me think of Walter White from Breaking Bad.

ridiculous final worth a ridiculous amount of points. No partial credit given and makes up 33% of your grade. Nothing is curved just the grade scale is "shifted down a bit".

Prof. Levy is a very smart guy, but as with most smart people, he expects his students to know a lot of stuff already when they come to class. The only way to get a decent grade in his class is to do all the homework by yourself and work super duper hard. Exams are easier than the homework and looking at previous years' exams will definitely help.

There are several reasons that I give this class with instructor lower grade. 1, overwhelming content for instructor and student professor could not finish the content. to try to finish the content, instructor skip content a lot 2, homework have no connection with class 3, exam no connection no connection with class or homework

Levy is a good lecturer but it doesn't mean you can learn well if you did not do well in your physics and math class. ECS221 is not a tough class if you are the top 30% in the class. The material is easy in the half of the semester, but it will get harder in the end. There is no partial credits in the final so be prepare for that.

Ive never met a professor who cares less about his students. Has test averages consistently in the 50s but refuses to curve. Made a seemingly easy class incredibly difficult.

This is one of the best subjects I ever learned. The subject is very difficult but if you are up-to-date with lecture and solve all HWs yourself then u can expect a good grade. He is really wise and willing to help. By this course you can expect to solve the toughest problems in Mechanical Engg.

The homework can be difficult, but most of the solutions can be found online. The lectures are absolutely useless to learning the material. It is homework time for most students. The tests are slightly challenging, but learn the material and you'll be fine. Going to ask him questions is not a good idea. He is kind of standoffish and scary.

Pretty tough course. He's challenging and not always exactly clear. HW problems are pretty difficult but that's just the textbook. Tests are definitely challenging, forces you to know the material. No softballs here. Overall pretty tough but everybody's in the boat.

Levy is a relatively easy professor assuming you pay attention, take notes, do all your homework, and read the book. I recommend taking AEW in addition, it helps a lot. If you get Levy over Danenhoffer, rejoice.

Very clear and concise when presenting information. While the material itself was somewhat difficult, he made it easier to understand and is very helpful if you manage to catch him in his office. Being the department head, his time outside class was very limited.

He can seem a bit scattered at times (he's always very busy). As a teacher though, he's been at it for a long time, so he's really good about getting the information across and then doing example problems. He's also quite the perfectionist when it comes to his artwork. He'll help you out if you come to office hours, too.
