I am so happy to have Trost. he is like a wealth of knowledge and I just love to hear everything he has to say. I have learned a lot, plus he makes his lectures interesting enough. I highly recommend him!!!!!

athough it is hard to, pay attention in his classes. In order to get an a make sure to keep up with readings and take your own personal notes before he passes out that extra long study guide. It is not a hard class you could pretty much not pay attention in his class and get an B. But, if you want an A you have to put forth that extra effort.

I am not a poli sci major and i was dreading this class but he made it doable. it may seem like a gave him a bad rating. You have to read the text or you wont do great but you could get by with a c. His exams are vague. He'll give you a term and you have to "define it" NOT EXACTLY--you MUST regurgitate EVERY TINY THING you remember about it.

I LOVE TROST! He was a great professor, very knowledgeable and wise. If you work hard, you can get an A, but you have to put in the hours. Take his Politics in Film class if you can. It is the best.

One of the best at VU. Cares about students, doesn't overwork you either. The class is hard, he doesn't like giving A's, so be prepared to do the work and show up to class to take notes to try and get a really good grade.

Clearly the best professor at VU. Has taught for many years and combines excellent international knowledge, while combating 'burn out'. He will only be teaching for a few more semesters, take him now if at all interested in international relations.
