Best Spanish professor I've ever had! Funny, engaging, makes sure all students participate so that they pay attention throughout the class. Easy marker, tells you exactly what materials will be covered on tests. You can easily get an A/A+ if you attend his classes and follow his instructions. Definitely can't compare to my other Spanish professors!

not sure why people don't like him... he's a super easy prof and funny at times - he uses the textbook and workbook throughout the whole course but really in a course like this there's no reason why he wouldn't

He is not a very good teacher. He just goes through the textbook the whole time and doesn't know how to explain anything regarding spanish grammar. He has so many preferences so if you use a word he doesn't like you will lose marks. He is very weird and rude when asked for additional help. I wouldn't recommend him if you are planning to take SP1000

My first SP class in a uni level.He barely encouraged us to speak & spent nearly 3 hrs twice a week, just talking to us about topics we wouldn't use. So Vague on marking & when I went to his office, he didn't help at all & took my pen to continue on his own work w/out answering my question.He definitely had favourites, avoid if you can.

I never took Spanish before this class and it was very difficult for me. The prof is horrible at explaining things and only goes through the textbook with you in class but doesnt explain anything. The tests get harder everytime. You have to memorize the whole text. I am getting a B+ but have to study everyday for hours. I Dont suggest him to anyone

He's very easy and a lot of fun. The atmosphere in the class was very relaxing. Most of the time we were just joking in class and laughing, he makes a lot of jokes and doesn't really care about a proper behaviour. Tests are very easy.

More than a decade later, I cannot believe that this guy is still around. I aced his course because I really worked at it-he did have favourites even all those years ago-sorry to contradict but it was a young female student in my class who he took out after class to celebrate her birthday. I laughed incontrollably which made the time tolerable.

Professor Martinez is amazing! He is extremely kind and helpful. Taking the class in the summer is intense because there is a lot of material to cover, but he warns you at the very beginning that if you're not willing to work hard you shouldn't take it. The material is hard at times but he doesn't have unfair expectations on tests. I will miss him!

He is a peculiar man, a little hard to get used to, but once you do you realize that he is actually pretty funny and truly loves teaching. You need to work hard outside of class to understand what is going on in class (but that is like learning any language). I would take courses with him again in the future.

Great Prof! Alejandro goes thru the whole text book with you, he has everyone participate in an exercise so you dont have to worry about that mark. I loved Michol Hoffmans teaching style as well, but he does go faster and i think you learn the material better. Does play favourites to the SMART students as Any teacher should- so do your work! :D

Charming, very funny, disorganized, obviously homosexual and pics favourites -the guys...unclear, kind, offers alot of help, yet does not give in within class hours. hes too fast, and incomprehensible. if you want to study harder than your courses youre majoring take this class with him. if not find michol hoffmans class!

Prof. Alejandro is the best. Very interactive class, great professor who makes the material interesting. Those who posted silly comments definitely were not there to learn the language but just get the credits and we can tell how "good" they were in class! I love the class! One of the best classes I have taken and great funny professor.

going to class was very enjoyable, great students, great material, and just as important, fantastic teacher. Very funny, helpful, kind of difficult with tests and quizzes... but i would take another of his classes in a heartbeat. I'm going to miss this one badly
