He is a very smart man. I had him for a 3 hour 6-9 post civil war history class. He puts a lot of emphasis on discussion and dedicates half the class to open debates. No papers at all, Make sure you focus on reading the chapters in the book for the tests and you will ace the class. Only two exams Mid term and Final +participation from discussion

I took HIST104 as a 3 hour class from 7-10 on Tuesdays... Pavuk makes class interesting and the 3 hours actually seem to fly by. Class can be difficult, make sure you pay attention and STUDY for exams. Overall, interesting class that covers a great deal of information.

An incredibly smart man. Tends to talk down to his students sometimes when they ask questions so don't ask dumb one. Easy to follow and tests are fairly easy just focus on what he focuses on.

Excellent teacher, very knowledgable. I have a much beter understanding of the historical context of religions and tribal folklorelore. Classes are intense, tests are cruel but very fair. There are easier sections but you won't learn as much as you will in his. Yeah, he's hot.

As long as you know the terms that he writes on the board, you should be fine. Pay attention. I never used the textbook, but it can be helpful to clarify terms from class.If you ask him for help, he is totally up for it as long as you make an appt. He is pretty awesome, and pretty cute too!

He is a fantastic! He has a great deal of knowledge about history & really seemed to enjoy talking about it. He assigned a good amount of reading which he would cover in class or tell us to make sure we read it so we would be prepared for the tests. He is also willing to work with people outside of class if necessary. I highly recomend his class.

He is awesome...his lectures are unclear but I found most of the test stuff comes from the readings...for example I got all my notes from lectures stolen and I got a B in the class...he is very helpful and he'll meet with you if you don't understand

Lectures jump around, hard to follow. It takes him half a page just to ask the essay question on test. There are lots of reading assignments which are on the test but not covered in class. Doable, but count on lots of study time.

First of all, yes, he is HOTTT! His tests are easy if you did the work, but the essay questions are very long and unpleasant. I have also found him to be very nice and very helpful in person, but he always seems kind of insecure.
