Professor Hauser is the reason I keep coming back to Beethoven Orchestra every semester! He is so knowledgeable and gives amazing feedback to the conductors that help them refine their skills. His comments are always helpful and never sound condescending.

He is a great conductor who loves teaching. I agree that he hates lack of preparation, and rightfully so. My only complaint is that for "artistic" reasons he will often delay programming concerto performances of competition winners. The orchestra needs more experience with playing with soloists.

I don't understand why the University brings an amazing conductor such as Maestro Hauser, and then gives us someone so bad to end the season. If it is true that the person who finished this McGill concert season will conduct the Opera in January, I will not be in Orchestra!!!!!!

Obviously the person below is one of the string players WHO CONSISTENTLY DOESN'T PRACTICE AND SHOWS UP TO REHEARSALS COMPLETELY UNPREPARED...I guess that's why the rest of the orchestra reveres this man as the best thing to ever happen to McGill Music...grow up and go practice!!

Comment:
As a string player, have nothing but complaints. the rep he chooses is too difficult for the string section as a whole, isn't a clear conductor (I mean, is that a 4 or a 1??!!), and doesn't listen to what his players have to say.

AMAZING...doesn't like percussion if they mess up, loves Webern, Beethoven: if you are a string player, be sure to play staccato on the string!
