Avoid that class if he is teaching it, the grading for the course was very random, and unfair, you will also get very little of the course. Nothing against Davis, some of his jokes are actually funny, but the way the course was taught is not on par with QSB standards (Sorry Davis).

Comment:

One of the worst professors at the Queen's School of Business. Very intimidating to students, makes derogatory comments to those who answer incorrectly, recite's material each year by near memorization instead of understanding. Very little willingness to help students outside of class, does not respond often to email, wasn't around during exams.

Alfie Davis rocks my socks. This man is awesome. This course actually teaches you important financial concepts, and while it is not super easy, he does it well. <br> Commment on the side: plus in Alfie's books if you like hockey, the Habs, and the Rocket.

Do not take this class if he teaches it. I love finance, but he has a way of you hating absolutely everything about it. Too bad he has tenure. He should have been fired a long time ago. Also, this great textbook he wrote...doubt he wrote it..he can't type fast enough to write an entire and he lacks the intelligence too...some TA prob. did it.

Definitely the WORST professor in Queen's Commerce. He's arrogant, lashes at you for asking a question, unapproachable, insensitive to the needs of students. Makes me hate finance. Avoid him like the plague.

One of the worst profs in Commerce. He is unclear, and tends to over complicate things. He also seemed easily flustered when someone dared to ask an in-depth question. Avoid him if possible. One the positive side, I sometimes found his jokes funny.
