Although nice, he is a terrible, terrible professor. Lectures are disorganized and almost impossible to follow along most gave up listening and appeared to be working on other assignments during lecture. Final was extremely difficult and forced students to use their vague knowledge gained during the class to solve highly specific problems. No!

Kavianpour is a good guy, just not a great professor. Writes all his code by hand, with lecture notes that are almost impossible to follow. I had him for EECS 20 as well, and that was just as bad. Avoid him if you can.

Not a good lecturer by any means, If it wasn't for the iClicker, I don't think many students would show up to lecture. His graders are horrible, and give students 0/100 for completely fine submissions. And his tests are difficult.

Professor Kavianpour is not a good teacher. Instead of using a compiler, he just reads through a Word Doc for every lecture, and makes everything even more confusing. He does post lecture notes and review, but the tests are so abstract, you never know what to expect. If possible, take EECS20 with someone else.

Is it a meme to give this guy a good review? Terrible teacher, though he seems like a cool guy. Tests are somewhat difficult. Really understand order of operations and the extent of the syntax. during lecture, he calls out names, so you kinda have to go. If you've never coded before, and don't have an interest, you might have a bad time

Very insightful course. This was my first programming course. The professor explained the concepts really clearly and gave out a lot of helpful handouts. Will take this professor again.

Supposed to be an intro course, but professor goes straight into python and I had to resort to learning from a CS friend. Lectures are extremely disorganized to the point where you'd be better off not going to the lectures, but sadly you get graded for showing up. Tests are difficult mostly due to the prof's terrible grammar, which is just horrible

Professor Kavianpour is an over all terrible instructor. He does not clarify what he wants students to know. In addition, he does not upload sample programming problems like the way other programming instructors do. His lectures are unorganized and very boring.

50% of the students in his class aren't even at the lectures. The other 49% of his students are asleep during his lecture. This guy needs to learn how to type faster and more accurately because half of the lecture is him fixing his spelling mistakes.

His accent is very thick and attendance is mandatory. He uploads powerpoints online, but they are not related to your homework or what he did in lecture that day. Avoid if possible.
