She is very professional, organized, smart, nice, and fair. Her teaching is extremely clear, so you would know what is going to be at the exam. You only need to read and review, there is none confusing. Everything relates to her lectures. She is one of the best Span professors at the department.

Taking this class has been an eye-opener. It was indeed a great class. Participation was not mandatory, but the topics and size of the class somewhat compelled us to participate. The readings are all from the text, and aren't too bad. She is a great professor. Could be a bit more specific regarding feedback. Will most definitely take her again.

Comment:

I took professor Ramos for Span 270 this semester, and I absolutely loved her. :) The topics in the book she used made me want to learn more spanish. She really challenged us to think deeper about topics and use more advanced vocabulary, which was what I needed. Her tests are super easy, unless you were absent, you can't fail!

Great teacher. Really takes into consideration people's apprehension when learning a new language. She does a great job explaining complex concepts and really cares about the students having a fulfilling takeaway.

I didn't have class with her, I came to see her for advising. I don't know how she is as a teacher but I would recommend that you do not seek her out as an advisor. She gave me false information- completely false. Luckily Student Services corrected her and things worked out. But an advisor should be familiar with procedure, no?

Her advising is horrible.I went to her for help, she seemed to help out students and over-tally those that are her friends into classes. But those with certain circumstances she would not help. Believes she is above and beyond all. It's her way or no way

Ramos is a great professor. She clarifies the course work as much as possible although she follows another professors course book. I think the course would have been better organized had the department used her book!
