She is so cute and a good professor. She explains things very well and has 3 midterms and a final. The exams are all very fair. The lectures are more important than reading the textbook. If I was to take this class again I would pay super close attention in class and not bother with the textbook. It seems like she tests right from her lecture notes

I really liked her as a Prof. Sure i Bombed a few midterms but that wasn't her fault. And she tries her best to work with the material shes got. And always go to exam veiwings because you can argue for more marks easily.

Every other 2nd year Psych class I've taken this year has had an average of a B, but not hers. I don't think she read the second year course grade guidelines. So pretty much whatever grade you usually get, you'll do worse.

Echoing previous comments, take this course in the summer if you can. This is a GPA killing class. The professor does not display a great deal of respect for her students and can be extremely intimidating. The course is heavily weighed on statistics and you will have to memorize many formulas.

Comment:
Creepy. No personality. Arbitrary and pointless course material. 212 will not help to understand research literature at all. Worst psych class ever- it shouldn't have to be so painful and the exams are completely extravagant relative to the nominal fallacy-ridden material. No formula sheet for stats?! Perhaps take Rasmussen instead.

Very easy class. If you did well in STAT 151, this class will be a breeze. All of her notes are online, and she adds nothing to them. Class is boring and a TOTAL waste of time (I only attended the first two classes (signed up 3 weeks late) and those before the midterms). Study her notes and the readings, know the formulas and you'll do well.

shes a nice lady and its easy, but soo boring. i mean, i can read directly from a powerpoint slide too?! refuses to answer questions during exams, and some of her questions are very unclear, and in a class where you need 90% to get an A, a couple marks on a test do matter.

SUCH A BORING CLASS. The course content is actually alright if you know stats beforehand. If not, you will be in trouble because the first two midterms focus a lot on them. The prof is ok. She's not very approachable though, and gets kind of rude when people don't understand the content and have to ask her to re-explain.

One of the worst profs I've ever had. Boring, unapproachable, bad exams. She doesn't try to make the subject appealing and has little consideration for students. Unfortunately, she is the only prof teaching 212 during fall/winter: try to take it over the summer sessions with Carmen Rasmussen instead.

worst class I've ever taken. She is the hardest marker, and her exams are not a faor representation of class material. i would never tell anyone to take her class. She dosn't make herself available to help out students and she will not allow anyone to her email her questions. Her TA ended up having to do all her work for her.

Stats is about as exciting as dry toast, but I found Alinda had great clarity and extensive knowledge on the subject, and really hammered it home for us to understand.

The only person who can make stats interesting! If you have to take the borring class, at least take it with Alinda. She is very sweet and tries very hard to help you with the dry material. Her energy will eventually rub off on you!
