Alison is a very rude and inconsiderate person, she is a great teacher while she is teaching in second year but has no compassion from that point on. she will bad talk the students to faculty and act more like a dictator than a teacher. I respected and liked her until she acted like a child and started forwardly belittling the students

Really great teacher. All you have to do is follow instructions, get your work done and DO NOT be late for crit. In fact i'd try to show up for class 15-30 minutes early. ALso, if your project is complete crap, improve your craft and your planning/sketches/idea mapping, it will save your ass.

Show up early, get your**** done correctly and be friendly and involved and she is the best instructor you'll ever have. She marks hard, but is always fair according to how much effort you put in. She does not tolerate people being late, which is a nice change. She loves good craft so make sure you follow instructions.

Brilliant teacher! Follow her instructions EXACTLY. Listen to what she says and respond accordingly. Ask questions if you are unsure or need direction in your work. You'll love her if you do these things. Or you'll die.

Alison is incredibly motivating. Her classes we mandatory for me to take so initially I was not looking forward to them. Before long I found myself enjoying her classes rather than the ones specific to my major. Her words are always charming and well-chosen, even when she's telling you your work sucks you're listening intently.

Very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and friendly! She comes off as a hardass but she's super fun once you get used to her tough girl side. EXTREMELY hard marker, and SUPER high standards. I only wish MORE teachers were like her and made you strive to be the absolute best you can be. I love her class.

she'll tell you outright if your ideas suck, which can be very painful when you're not used to it, but when you get a compliment from her, it means that much more. she definitely knows a whole heck of a lot, and is extremely helpful. harsh, but very intelligent. and definitely a lot of fun.

Can be unforgiving and really, downright cruel at times, but she knows her stuff. Not really consistent with what she says about your work in the group crit, and the comments and marks you get back about it. Don't be late for class, or you will feel her wrath!

Alison has a blunt and critical way about her that will give you the valuable feedback you need to improve. She’s funny and a great person who appreciates hard work and effort. Sometimes I feel she’s too “by the book”. What works in theory color or derivative wise may not always just feel right. She’s got a particular taste, get ready for it.
