Mrs. Brooks was easily my favorite teacher this semester! She truly wants her students to succeed. Couple things to note: homework is WAY harder than the tests, you don't need a textbook for this class, do not get on your phone, and take advantage of the extra credit. :) Health majors have every opportunity to get an A in this class.

Mrs. Brooks is awesome! I hated chem in high school and she made it so easy. She truly will not move onto a different topic until every student understands the content. If you put effort into the class it should be an easy A. Also, lots of opportunity for extra credit.

Mrs. Brooks is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. She wants you to pass and is willing to help you. Her lectures can be long, but a lot of content is covered. There are multiple extra credit opportunities as well as PASS sessions. Her homework tends to be rather lengthy, however the tests are easier than the homework.

Professor Brooks is a wonderful teacher. I do not like chemistry at all and struggled with it in high school. Brooks made It more interesting by using real life examples that have to do with my major. Some people don't like her because she is very strict on phone use, but I appreciate it, because it shows that she really cares.

I enjoyed taking her. Lectures are very long and homework can at times be tough and is usually harder than what is on the test. At times lecture moves at a pretty fast pace, but she is always willing to help if you are confused. If you struggle or miss class she has recordings of her past classes online to help.

I really dont see how people think shes an amazing teacher. Shes average at best. Lectures are long and gives no breaks. Lots of content and you have to teach yourself a lot. Up to 30 extra credit points. At times she teaches like she is lecturing to an elementary school student. A decent professor for such a hard class

Um, where do I start with Mrs. Brooks... she is such a great professor and so helpful as well. I was SO nervous about taking chem 109, but she truly made an 8 AM class bearable. She's very enthusiastic in her lectures, which was ideal. The semester is basically Sapling HW assignments, tests, & some extra credit opportunities as well. RECOMMEND x10

Don't let what other people say about her scare you. She is nice and cares about her students. I talked to her many times after class and outside of school. She'll do whatever she can to help you. The class is a little tough, but if you pay attention and study, you'll do fine. She does offer a few extra credit assignments.

It was such an amazing experience to be able to take Mrs. Brooks. She loves chemistry and loves her students and cares about everyone and their grades. She is always available and provides all the help she can to anyone. Basically, I went into this class scared of failing and came out wanting to change my major to chemistry. TAKE HER AND LOVE HER.

Professor Brooks in awesome. I loved going to her class, except it was at night. Other than potentially falling asleep, she tried to keep things interesting and really helped me understand things that have confused me for years. She HATES cellphones and will knock you a letter grade if she sees it. Respect her and she will help you. Awesome.

She is hands down the best teacher I've ever had. She makes sure you completely understand the concepts, is always willing and available to help, and is very intense (the furthest thing from monotone you could be) . She is very strict about no cellphones being out in class. I would take her for every class if I could.

I really enjoyed taking the class, but only because I feel like Mrs. Brooks made everything so easy to understand. She is an absolutely wonderful teacher and she keeps students engaged. She is by no means boring. If I had taken this class with another teacher I am positive I would not have gotten an A. Pass sessions are also VERY helpful.
