he is pretty clear in the directions he gives all you need to do is take the time to study for a couple of hours on the powerpoints study sheets and slides and go to after class hours. also check out coursehero's Watertheworld67 for help in this class

Had to retake this class. Its really not that hard need to know the PowerPoints and a list of questions called questions at the beginning. Easy B on test and quizzes. Lab practicals are really hard, 50 questions and really impact ur grade. But he will go over every slide and model with u. Just remember to take PICS and RECORD STUFF.

This class is very challenging but if u remember the PowerPoint and questions at beginning u should do got on test and quizzes. People struggle on lab practicals which are 50 different slides and models with hard questions need to ask questions on those all the time. He really helps students out even the one that know more than him. Good luck!!!!

I had to retake this class after failing it the first time. The only hard thing about this class is the amount of time you have to put into studying. Literally studied 3 hrs a day and it worked. Answer all the 'questions to begin with" and study the models and slides. You can retake 1 exam which will replace your og exam. Tip: study everything.

Prof. Assadi-Rad makes you work really hard for your grade. He'll happily answer all your questions as long as you've reviewed the lecture material. The tests are pretty tough because it's A LOT of material that you have to study and it's sometimes unclear what the questions are asking. Anyways, "Don't worry about it. I hope I'm making some sense"

This class is not an easy A. You really have to put in the time. I highly recommend going to SI. I must add this was my favorite biology class ever and my favorite teacher at SJDC. If I could I would love to take this class again. I hope I'm making some sense?

This class is an easy A if you do the work. The labs, as long as you complete them, easy A. Quizzes/exams came straight from the quiz questions he gives. The only curveball is the lab practical exams. Ask him to review the slides on the overhead projector. Ask him to go over the study model with you. If you do those two things and study it, easy A.

Rarely returned messages when I asked questions. Made tests that were said to be for one chapter but would be for a different chapter. For our research paper when we got our grade back there were no notes, explanations or anything explaining why the grade was the way it was. When he did message back, nothing he said made sense.

I was excited to take this class with him because of the topic and a friend told me she took the class and it was an easy grade. Needless to say, he is not understanding whatsoever and doesn't want to really help any of his student's when you're one on one. You think he is approachable until you approach him and realize how harsh he is. VERY RUDE

Doesn't line up answer sheet&tests accurately. So you have to go fix your grade. I took a hybrid so no lecture. Be prepared to get no help with your lab. He's helpful, but leaves room a lot & you have to go grab him to ask him anything. He does give you the exact multiple choice questions for quiz/tests which is great-Self-teach class mostly

Professor Amir is one of the best Biology professors I've had. If you don't pass his Zoology course then you might not want to be a science major in general. He gives you everything you need to pass the class, all you have to do is categorize and memorize. If you're not one whose good at memorizing then you'll probably have a tuff time in his class

I would not recommend taking this class with this professor. I took bio 30 online and it was too much work, he did not answer my questions properly,if you take this class with him be prepare to teach yourself everything. There is a lot of reading, since you are teaching yourself you have to find what learning method works best for you.

Best professor i've ever had. I never liked or understood biology but after his class i understand it & love it actually. I wish he taught all the science classes at delta. We need more professors that care & are as helpful as him. He is the definition of a great teacher.

Dr. Assadi-Rad is an EXCELLENT professor! Dedicate hours daily to study the old and new material from lecture videos, power points, and lab slides/models, you'll succeed. Studying material over and over for hours may get repetitive but its key, especially for lab slides and models. He makes lecture interesting and fun to learn. He's the best!

I took his online class and it was difficult because it required A LOT of reading. If you do not read the textbook, don't expect to pass. It was an interesting class so it was not boring. online test are difficult because you have an hour to complete it which is not enough time. Overall difficult class but it is passable. Must read and take notes!

Make no mistake, this is a HARD class you are getting yourself into. The amount of criterea in this class is insane! Tests are tough, lectures are madatory, and labs are highly recommended. With that being said, Amir is probaly the most understanding professsor I've had so far. He genuinely wants you to wants you to do well, just dedicate yourself!

This professor is really nice and the subject matter was also very interesting. But with this being an online class, communication was essential to getting the information and clarification one needed. Dealt with some issues during this course like the tests being on different chapters than the ones he said they would be on. Overall, easy class.

I have to start off by noting that a lot of these reviews are written by the professor himself. I am a HUGE grammar person and I can tell just by the writing style that it's him. That being said, the class was easy but I definitely had to send a few emails asking for clarification or asking him why the tests weren't on assigned chapters. Annoying.
