Great professor. Knows what he's talking about, passionate, and really funny. His exams are a free for all. Not all questions come from the book or lectures but the whole class is curved. The weekly reports AREN'T BAD. You only write one page about the economy per week. It's the lightest work load you can get in a college course. There's EC too.

Worst class I have taken at Oakland University. His lectures are extremely disorganized, and on the first day, he passed out SEVEN PACKETS of stuff about the class. Using paper has never bothered me so much. He also makes you do weekly reports which are completely useless. Don't bother trying to email him- he'll just respond a week later.

Professor Sahu is a very nice man, just not a great teacher. He heavily curves the tests because of the abundance of low scores. As long as you go over his lecture notes and pay attention in class, you should be fine though. It isn't hard to pass his class, just frustrating sometimes.

Profesor Sahu was my favorite teacher at Oakland University. After a tough class in the Fall, I had to retake this class in the summer. HE will lecture on about random things once in a while, but grading is very lenient and barely has any hmw. I DID have to meet up with him during his office hours, which is the best way to go.

Professor Sahu is a great guy, but his lectures hardly tie into the tests. He heavily curves tests because everybody does so badly on them. Honestly, as long as you do all of the weekly homework assignments, attend class, answer at least one question in class for extra credit, and score slightly above the curve for the tests, you should get a 3.0

From day one he held lectures until the announced ending time. Required students to write a weekly report about the economy. Lectures are very boring and never related to the material on the exams. To pass the class you need to complete the 4 hw assignments, weekly reports and pray you are above the curve on exams. Curves exams due to low scores.

this professor is absolutely ridiculous. tough grader, hardly any assignments to make up points. tests do not relate to ANY of the information provided in class. the teacher is hard to understand. overall, get a different professor for this class if you want to pass. the first day he stated that average grade a student receives is a 2.9.

Any good reviews on here must have been written from professor Sahu himself. If you want a horrible outlook on macro-economics, please take this class. The horrifying minutiae lectures will eventually lead to his unorganized test preparations, which will lead to failure. Pointless statistical homework assignments have no correlation with exams. GL

I never wanted to off myself in a classroom so bad. First of all, this professor's primary language is not English, so good luck understanding him. Second of all, you better be ready for unorganized lectures that don't cover exam material. Lastly, be ready for no exam review guides, no utilization of Moodle, or answers to E-mails.

i love the subject of macro but he is a HORRIBLE professor. never responds to emails, lectures are a heavy accent riddled mess, exams are nothing like what he says they will be, and the book doesnt even help! going to his office hours does nothing, he goes off on a tangent and when you try to bring him back to the question he still wont answer.

Sahu just lectures about the most random stuff. His lectures have nothing to do with what's on the exam. Doesn't give a study guide for exams. He doesn't go over what to study for AT ALL. Class average for his exams were in the low 60s. You couldn't pay me to take a class with this guy again lol. He is a funny guy though.

Prof Sahu was a little scattered in his notes but the helpfulness outside of class made up for it. He sent the powerpoints and notes before exams which was really helpful. If you are uneasy about math as I am, his "Fear No Math" slogan was somewhat inspirational.

Teacher is bad he doesn't grade anything till the last minute. He teaches things in class that are useless. The only way to do even remotely good on test are by reading the chapters in the textbook. When asking for advice he gives none and doesn't probably speak enough English to understand what you are asking. Tests are very hard!

He is a very fun professor. He has a great sense of humor, which helps with such a boring topic. Sometimes he gets over excited and tends to talk a bit fast, but otherwise, once you get used to him, he's not difficult to understand. If you ever get lost, go ask him, he is very happy to help. He really cares about making you pass.
