Professor Davis was super accommodating to me as a student. She built me up in a way that no other teacher EVER has. She is kind, caring, and very intelligent. Enrol in her tutorial if you can- it will change your life! She adapts her lectures to accommodate current news (eg. Kaepernick kneeling, Michael Brown, etc.). Overall the best class ever!!!

Andrea Davis the best prof you will probably have in your ENTIRE undergraduate experience. Her passion for teaching the course and going above and beyond for her students is one of a kind. You should most definitely take HUMA 1300, the course will give you a phenomenal perspective into history, social justice, and ways to make an impact.

Professor Davis is the best educator I've met throughout my whole educational career thus far. She genuinely cares for her students, clarifies all information and she knows the topics inside and out. She puts the students before the course and wants to see people improve. She is extremely respected and loved, plus she is accessible outside of class

This class was amazing as well as eye-opening and Andrea Davis is now my favourite professor at York. There are a lot of readings but they are interesting. For a 9 credit course the assignment load wasn't too heavy. I would definitely take this course again.

HUMA 1300 is the best course i have taken at york and definitely shaped my first year experience. Professor Davis truly cares about her students and is inspirational. The class requires readings but the content is interesting so it isnt that bad. I wasn't able to take it with Prof Andrea as a TA but Jennifer Field was great. Overall 1010

People literally cried leaving this class, it is such an amazing course, Andrea is the kindest prof i have ever encountered, truly cares about her students. lots of readings, but they are very interesting and if you keep up with the readings easy A. Would take this class every year if i could !

I took HUMA 1300 and Professor Davis is absolutely amazing! She really knows what she's talking about, very articulate and though it doesn't seem like it at first, she is approachable. She's also quite funny. I didn't have her as a TA but my friend did and she said she was very helpful with course work.

WOOOW, took prof's 1300 class and decided I MUST take other classes with this prof. She is simply -PHENOMENAL-. She is smart, articulate, passionate about the subject she covers and able to break things down in a simple way for students. However, do your readings or else you'll be lost! Marks fairly and is approachable so do so if you need to.
