She is an amazing professor. Unlike other professors she makes you talk and participate in class. Her lecture was in very slow pace but she always makes sure everyone is following. She is very nice in her office hours too. Lots of homework, but not bad. She gives you hints in office hours anyway.

I enjoyed her class a lot. Although we went at a relatively slow pace, she taught the concepts very well and all the grading was fair. She is also very helpful during office hours.

Comment:

Very smart and nice professor who really cares about the students. My main complaint was that she severely underestimated the understanding of the students in the class. She spent time proving very easy statements, some of which I don't think should have even been mentioned, and the rest left as an exercise. The class ended up slow and tedious.

1) Her math class (the same as others college level math class) kind of boring. If you want to study some "fun and not boring" math course...go back to high school. 2) Take her class, do the home work, go to the preview b4 exam, and use half of your brain => will get an A on the course. Dont want to do hw, dont want to take pop quiz => dont take it

She's really great- Explains everything clearly in class and has a wonderful sense of humor. You go really in depth into the material, which is tough, but Andrea makes it really simple. Lots of homework, but it wasn't impossible.

Coming from a student who did very well in her Math 523 class, I would AVOID taking any class with her. She appears nice and friendly, but can be condescending. She posts homework around 1 am in the morning due in a few days. She was not devoted to her students at all. If you are looking to learn analysis, take it with someone else!

She lectures at the board at a pace that I am able to follow and comprehend what she is doing. This is why I am very happy I had her as my Professor. Tests and quizzes were very fair. I really like how the homework was optional since I was able to learn the material by just reading the book and going to class. She is nice, helpful, and smart.

Extremely nice person but it's really hard to understand her. Pop quizzes in class, book is absolutely useless, exams are hard. She is very willing to help you though and work with you. And there's tons of OWL homework that sometimes seems like it has nothing to do with the class.

HORRIBLE. Boringest class ever and if she catches you sleeping, she will call you on it. Pop quizzes with no makeups if ur not in class. In total 3 tests, owl work, pop quizzes. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK!! You don't even need it!!!!

She is probably one of the more human math teachers I have had and is very good about answering questions.Every calc class has the same amount of work/tests so it isn't like you are going to get a break in any class. Didn't take any calc in H.S. and it got difficult at times but lots of extra help.

nice lady, a little scattered brained but clear. If you didn't take a calculus class before, her lectures are difficult to follow just because of laco of knowledge that you have that she doesnt provide you with because of lack of time

Her first time teaching the course, the course was very slow. The first half or more of the class was review from earlier calc classes, although she did go into slightly more depth. Once interesting topics came up, everything got much better. Overall, very clear, and and would take from her again

As nice as she may seem (sometimes) taking this class with her is def. NOT recommended. I hardly went because I knew I'd end up on the floor asleep by the end. She doesn't explain things well at all, and god forbid you get up to go to the bathroom.. you'll b in trouble. Think twice about this class.

I took calculus in high school, so basically we are doing the same thing this year so far, but this teacher does NOT explain things well at all, in my opinion. If you have trouble in math I would not reccomend her at all because her teaching is very hard to understand and follow.
