Andrea is great! However, notes are a little messy so don't expect to just copy them down with out paying attention to what she's saying. She is a very nice lady, with a good sense of humour. Her marking is ok. There is a lot of assignments (reading note cards!! ugh!!) but its easy to get a decent mark if you are interested in Canadian History..

Andrea is friendly, nice, and passionate about history; however, her classes were boring. Notes are messy and sometimes unclear. We had to write two papers (2500w), two quizzes (each 5%) , and final exam. Take this class only if you are really interested in history.

She's very approachable, and allows opportunities to ask questions, yet doesn't let them go off-topic! She writes a lot of point-form notes, which are helpful IF you read the pages she assigns before class. You of course don't need to memorize all of it, because her class notes will let you know what the important stuff is for tests.

Nice lady, clearly knows tons, but ABYSMAL lecturer. No concept of linear time, jumps back and forth so quickly its hard to undestand what shes talking about. Ive never taken more disjointed notes, and what she writes on the board is no help, disconnected names and dates and locations, mostly irrelevant. Interesting subject, cant stand the teaching

Was in a morning class and some lectures felt like they lasted for ever. Very helpful and approachable. Most weeks you have a small note card due on a article you're assigned to read and discuss in class. 2 small easy 20 mark quizzes and a final. 1 essay and 1 annotated bibliography assignment.

Fantastic Prof. Incredibly helpful when seeking help for paper and very knowledgeable on all aspects of the course. Notes are often a bit scattered as what she writes on the board is limited, then she verbalizes alot, but overall a great prof who will definetly make you interested in History!

Andrea is very passionate about what she teaches. She is lovely person and makes history jokes. She takes her time on the topics & makes sure the info is embedded in your head by repeatedly summarizing what we learned in previous lectures. Her exam consists of a short answer & an exam component, if you study and show up to class an A is achievable

Andrea is a friendly and reasonable professor. She is definitely helpful if you see her during her office hours. Reading the articles is a must as she will ask students some questions regarding the articles. The reading note cards are marked for completion (easy mark there). The research paper and exams are marked a bit harder.

Andrea is a really great teacher who has a passion for what she teaches and a lot of empathy for her students. If you're having trouble, make sure to go see her during office hours. Attendance was pretty mandatory in History 1126, as every second class you were marked on your attendance to group discussion.
