Took her online for CMPS330 for 8 weeks, a fair amount of work each week but not unbearable to complete. Her assignments are always due on a Friday night which can be difficult if you work full time. Responds to emails quickly and grades your assignment the very next day. I would recommend her for online. Great!

Literally awful, she gave me a .009 out of 200 for turning something in using pages. She can NOT teach and is so confusing, even her emails are confusing. The class is easy because it is all busy work that you do on the computer and if you navigate yourself through the directions you will get an A, but you have to read the directions a lot.

This is my 2nd class w/Wachter. She's personable and nice, but she shouldn't be teaching at a University. Her instructions are convoluted and she focuses too much on format (screenshots sizes, margins, and file naming. She should put forth that effort into the actual "meat and potatoes" of the class. Avoid her classes if possible.

Comment:

Electronic Commerce 1 provides a ton of content. However, it was presented by Mrs. Wachter in a clean, organized manner. Although her instructions are intense, (read the syllabus) it is very easy to obtain an A. She is not as bad as everyone has made her out to be. Do your work, read every detail, and turn in neat work. Quizzes are easy.

CMPS 300 (Online). Took this class online for the first half of the summer. It was easy and she made blackboard simple to navigate. However, READ her instructions! They can become very confusing and it is easy to lose points with minor mistakes.(margins, layouts) Sometimes unclear on a lot of the work. The class was short, easy, simple, and fun.

Wachter gave us a bunch of stupid assignments with ridiculous due dates (tomorrow at 9 AM for a class that let out at 10PM...) was pretty useless and when I asked about my grades, she removed me from the black board shell!

Horrible teacher. My mom was in ICU, and dying, still took off attendance points. I had documents to show legitimacy,and had to FIGHT for an incomplete. Didn't respond to e-mails, and was useless if I had a question.

Joke. An accelerated class so I wasted four hours of my life every other week(seven classes)going to a miserable little hole. She often graded unfairly, taking off 1/3 grade for not including screen shots. When I complained about a grade, she simply told me to submit a file to blackboard with my concerns. Never corrected the grade-Take someone else

She reads from the book the entire class time. Anytime a question was asked she pretty much told the person asking to shut up - it became clear that she didn't know much about the material and couldn't answer the questions. She's really rude, pompous, and weird - - she refers to her husband in the 3rd party "Professor Wachter doesn't like..."

I took this class online which I thought would make it easier. However her rude comments and smart answers to my questions didn't make the class enjoyable. Okay, this class was online so I don't have much to say other than that it was a very stupid class. This review is more on the idea that if she is your Advisor, GO TO JOAN MOSEY, or you will take an extra term here, as for a teacher, she encapsulates her assignments in too much garbage with a rediculous point scale - easy class, useless class.

intro to computer literacy and information technology = HUGE JOKE. true story: "alright class, make this table with 2 cells, type words in each and center them, then leave it on your screen so you can sign this piece of paper and recieve 100 free points." dont get me wrong, free points rule, but she makes class a total waste of your life.
