Comment:

He turns his back to you for the majority of the lectures and speaks relatively quietly, making it very difficult to learn. He was also extremely dull, making it even more difficult to understand what he is saying. I was forced to learn the majority of the subjects on my own via Youtube and the math help centre. Overall, don't recommend.

Lectures were very badly organized where you don't really know if you're on a new topic or not when coming in. He doesn't look at the class at all (so you need to call out his name for him to answer a question), pretty monotone and boring, but sometimes has his moments.

Brilliant guy, extremely fair midterms and final. A little quirky, but it's all part of his charm! I pulled an 11 without going to class, but I'm sorry I didn't go more because I really enjoyed his lectures; a little dry (this is linear algebra people), yes, but he sometimes inserts amusing jokes and cartoons and he does try to enthuse the class.

Dr. Nicas is a good instructor. He is clear and his tests and very reasonable. His lectures are sometimes dry, so his jokes sometimes fall flat...but he is a very nice guy and is very smart. Great semester.
