Comment:

Extremely clear with what he expects you to learn and tells you exactly what will be on the exams. The course material isn't too difficult and important concepts are covered multiple times. Goes on rants and likes to discuss finance news in class. Definitely recommend!

wow, such a great teacher. Knowledgeable and amazing personality. I wish SFU has hired more of people like him rather than Jan Simon. He knows every branch of finance in depth and more importantly he knows how to transfer his knowledge. Of course you need to know a bit of mathematics, otherwise you be like those who rate him low here.

He is very knowledgeable. The course is tough and if students don't have statistic background it is even more challenging. However he really make it simple and he explain stuff very well. It was a business course and there were many international student without knowing anything about Mathematics, for those it was really tough. He is A++++++

Agree with below about the tricky Q's in exams. When he says u just need to know his lecture notes for the exams - he's LYING. u have to read the textbook. And make sure u do all the chapter exercises - sometimes he uses the exact same text Q's in his exams. ~Lazy and tricky prof.
