Andy Harbert is by far the best teacher I had at this school. He is very helpful and understanding. The projects however are usually hard. Although I am a math major with no interest in programming. I struggled through the class but ended up with a B because Harbert really puts the effort to help you if you make an effort to seek help. Great guy.

The guy is hilarious. He can't go a single class without saying "You're hosed" if you mess this up or that or the other thing. A good professor who wants to see you succeed. Pretty lenient on late work (only the online portion though) but if you get behind it's a chore to get caught up again.

This man is a living legend. His programming 1 and 2 classes are extremely thorough and informative. Take his classes, you will learn a lot. He can seem intimidating at first, but once you get to know him, he is a really cool guy. You will have to work for your grade, but Prof. Harbert will give you the tools you need for success.

Andy Harbert is a really great professor. He's a quirky guy that's always ready to help. I've used C++ before and had programmed for a few years, so the course wasn't exactly difficult, but if you are having trouble, he's always happy to help. Daily quizzes are pretty straightforward on BB, and tests are written. Lectures are fun and interactive.

Andy Harbert is one of the best teachers I've ever met. He knows his stuff, and if there's something you don't understand, ask him and he will make you understand. He's great at explaining stuff. He's pretty strict with his grading, but after taking a class with him, you'll feel like you learned so much. If you have a choice, GO WITH HARBERT.

I had to take Prog I as part of my major. I had no interest in it. I won't be pursuing programming now but he definietly made it interesting. It's fun, He's funny but I wouldn't call the class easy just because the last little bit can be tricky. The first part is a breeze though.
