This class was WAY too hard for an intro level course. You have to write these papers and she grades them very hard. You also have to do group projects. I thought the material would be interesting and it definitely wasn't. I'm a good student and I did not do well in this class. If possible, I'd recommend taking someone else.

Came across as rather arrogant, and her voice gets annoying fast. Boring class with lots of work. The reading assignments were graded by chance often for a total of 3 points. Attendance was also taken randomly. Tests took the entire time, but she allowed students an index card with notes. Bottom line, don't take her if you don't have to.

I would not recommend her if you care about your grades. She expects too much out of students. Every other day, we have a 2 page paper due on some reading that is ridiculously long (25+ pages). If I wanted a literature and writing class, I would have taken one. I am by no means a lazy student, but I know that she is too demanding. Beware.

She's a nice lady but shes pretty boring. You have to go to class because there is in class assignments. Her tests are REALLY hard. Good luck with passing those. I woulnd't recomend her.

Loved this class. not interested at all going in, took it as a UP. Great class, easy lectures to follow, I didnt even take notes and i managed to pull off a solid A. Papers arent hard at all, she outlines what she wants in the assignment and all you need to do is follow it and you'll be fine. Good class, Great Teacher.

she has a very nasaly voice and can get irritating after a while. she was pretty helpful when u came to her with questions. papers were graded pretty easily. review sessions for tests were worthless tho!

Material is interesting & she seems like a good prof, until you get your grades. She grades VERY HARD. This is the only class I study & put effort in, yet I am getting the lowest grade out of all my credits. She does not explain well. If you think you did good on a test or paper. Trust me, you didnt. I don't recommened taking her class.

I would not recommend taking her. She doesnt fully explain things until after you turn your assignment in. She thinks this class is an english class and grades VERY HARD on the papers. Dont take this class if you care about your grades. She loves what she does, but is terrible at helping people understand.

This class wasn't as difficult as people made it out to be. She is a descent teacher and is pretty helpful when you ask questions after class or during office hours. She grades pretty hard on papers, but if you go into her office, she will go over the whole thing with you to make it better. Just do the study guides for tests and you'll do fine.
