worst class ever. i can't wait until im done with it. expect to never get any of your papers back. you never know your grade in the class so you could be failing and wouldn't know it. she's just a terrible teacher. and her handwriting, you can't even read it.

I'm in her class right now, and it is so boring! Hoenstly, if she didn't take attendance, I wouldn't even come. You don't learn anything, and all you do are essays. Plus, she hasn't given me back any of my assignments yet, and I doubt I ever will. Don't take her class!!

The worst. Ever. Her lectures are pointless. Very disorganized. You have no idea what to write about/when it's due. I'm still waiting for a comment on my proposal for the first paper...even though I turned the first paper in. So who knows if I did that paper right. She also yells when she speaks.

Handelman is the most disorganized teacher I have ever had. Her lectures equate to gibberish, and she goes off topic and doesn't actually have any points in her lectures. Papers take forever to get back, and you will never know your class standing until the end. She writes comments on your papers that are longer than the paper itself. AVOID HER!!!

Whatever you do, do NOT take this class. I received more in comments on my papers than I actually wrote. The worst part of all is that you are completely unaware of your grade throughout the entire semester. Also, out of about five papers, you MIGHT receive a graded one back. This class requires a lot of patience and luck.

She's the worst! I fell asleep in her class everyday. she never gave us back a single paper until after the semester was over and we had to turn in our final paper a few days after the final. She never came in on time and always took up class time getting things set up. Very confused and didn't have a clue what was going on. DO NOT TAKE HER!!

she is a very nice woman and one of the most brilliant people i have ever met, she is very old school but keeps up well with changes (e.g. MLA, APA citations), the deadlines for papers are not clear, however, if you take the time to meet her outside of class you will learn and learn a lot, again, very nice woman but extremely disorganized

I would have to agree that this is the worst professor I've ever had. Although she isn't mean, I came to college to learn and wasn't taught a single thing. Her lectures get off topic in seconds, the assignments, due dates, and grades are never clear, and it takes at least a month for her to grade each paper. Get out if you can and save your sanity.

Dr. Handelman, to put it brutally, sucked at teaching in the classroom setting. However, if or I should say when she leaves you feeling confused and dumbfounded, go to her office hours, she loves it when people come and seek her outside help. In light of everything, she is an easy grader, I got an A, and honestly probably deserved a C.

There are bad teachers, really bad teachers, and then there is Handelman. Despite her attempts to help you outside of class, you will still be left clueless. In class you will be more dumbfounded than you could have ever imagined. She is unclear, unorganized, and ultimately unhelpful. To this very day, I still dont know what she was trying to say.

Dr. Handelman was a very nice woman and extremely helpful during her office hours, but couldn't teach a thing in her lectures. Everyone in our class was confused about how to do assignments and how well we were doing on them. You won't know your grade on just about anything until the end of the semester.
