I have nightmares and cold sweats thinking about Lakra. I have no idea how she is even a prof with the lack of clear instructions but high expectations. Drop this class if you can't self-study.

Anita is a nice person but as a prof there's a lot she lacks. Her power points are totally skeletal and she quickly skims over them so going to class is really no use. Your best bet at learning anything is going through the publisher powerpoints, the textbook, and the self test. She provides good resources but her lectures are awful.

Anita is a very nice person, she really does care about your grades and tries her best to help you do well. I do think she over exaggerates how easy things are which results her just quickly skimming through material with a lot of people not following what she is doing. Shes okay, but assumes since one student understands, everyone does!

Anita is super nice, she always talks with me at the beginning of classes and is very caring. I feel like her power points could contain more content as you will have to teach yourself a good chunk of this class, albeit most uni courses. She knows her stuff so I believe she can improve her lectures.

Horrible prof. Incredibly disorganized, horrible slide decks, and very difficult to follow. Stay the hell home and take your own notes because this class is a total joke for content. Anita makes students worse at accounting.

simply awful... I loved accounting and was really excited for this class, but she has made me dread it and doubt what I want to do with my future. considering dropping the course because she teaches so poorly and I don't have enough time to teach myself

Well, I think she needs to change her teaching style and writing. She has unclear writing that often makes people confused. Also, she taught the lesson pretty fast and she supposed it was easy for everyone. I learnt more from the textbook and youtube. Be prepared that if she saw you was using cell phone, you could be asked to meet her after class!

She tells you to print out her powerpoint for the class but it is a compete waste of paper and has nothing but the bare bare minimum of them. Talks about a lot of random things during class that are quite irrelevant. Knows the material quite well and seems to think its super easy for everyone to learn which is not necessary true.

The course itself was easy enough and Anita is a nice person but as a prof... She goes through lectures so fast and then spends 10mins telling useless stories at the end of lectures. I basically taught myself the course from reading the textbook. The self-tests are very helpful though. MC quizzes every other week out of 6.

She is a really nice person, but her teaching isn't too great. Her notes are very sparse, and often provide no real learning value. She rushes through teaching only so she can tell useless stories at the end of class instead of going into more detail with the material itself. Your best bet is to self-study a lot from the textbook.

Feels like she is telling a lullaby in class instead of teaching. Use textbook to get through the class, she knows the material but can't teach it properly. Her class is tough because of her.

I would do pre readings and have a little bit of an understanding and then I went to class and would be completely lost. I stopped going to class and went through textbook questions and I got an A on the first midterm. Would suggest not going to class and just reading and doing work questions in text book.

Anita has to be one of the most boring profs I have ever had. The material was fairly easy but she simply sits up at the front of the class with no animation in her voice or her body language and writes down answers to problems. The textbook has more flavour than her, and it is just as easy to learn from.

I was skeptical going in, but Anita instantly changed that. She is definitely one of my favourite, if not THE favourite, prof I've had at UofC thus far. She knows the content inside and out and teaches in a way that is easy to understand even if accounting isn't your thing. HIGHLY recommend her.

Honestly so horrible I'm crying that I have to take this class with her (she teaches pretty much all the sections). Extremely unclear and not even sure why she's a prof. I wonder if she's ever even tried to improve her teaching style because it seems that it has been years with no change in her material. Get out while you can, seriously

I currently have Lakra as my prof , and its horrible. She does not provide any support in her slides/notes and when you attend lecture its extremely rushed as she completely skips through explanations not providing any assurance to her students. We however always finish class 15-30mins early for her to discuss irrelevant topics. WORST PROF EVER!

Lakra was probably one of the most useless profs I have ever had. Her "slides" are literally barebones, and going to class does not help at all either as she skims through concepts. Be prepared to teach the entire course to yourself from the textbook. Quizzes were brutally hard as well, so study hard for them if you want to do well.

Anita is one of my fav profs this semester. Her explanations were so much simpler than Darrin's whose class I took for 217. It honestly depends on the person and how they learn. Anita was interesting because her examples were easy to follow and she went into depth with the theory. Her quizzes are fairly easy but exams are tough.

Comment:
Anita teaches in a very strange way and talks too fast. When doing examples instead of going over it with the entire class she goes around the classroom asking if individuals "understand the idea" and then moves on to the next one. She isn't considerate of her students because she doesn't recognize that there are different types of learners.
