demeaning to students, ambiguous about expectations, did not use "required textbook," only "hot topics" were discussed in class, the only grade of semester was ONE paper, favorites are the ones who share her ideology & gives those who oppose a very difficult semester, overbearing even overstepping boundaries into personnal lives of students.

LIfe-changing teacher. She doesn't dumb down the material and if you don't want to be shaken out of your preconceptions, look elsewhere. But if you're up for the challenge, she's a professor who can push you into a higher register.

She's the best. I had her for Honours (back when we spelled with a "u"), and she made us think. Introduced me to The Man Who Planted Trees by Jean Gionne and Martin Buber. She cares for students more than any prof I had.
