When I first started this class it was boring powerpoint and her first exam was brutal, but she turned it around. She is fair with grading and gives hi marks for participation. Really a nice teacher who makes it hard to fail.

Her class can be repetitive and boring sometimes. Class consist of copying notes from her powerpoints. She offers a lot of extra credit. Very nice lady but her test are hard.

Sweet lady, but tests are hard. She gives lots of extra credit,but you can still end up with a bad grade. She asks for detailed answers and numbers on tests that unless you've memorized the book its not helpful. Do not recommend at all.

Ann is such a sweet lady, but she is not current and up to date in her teaching and she also just sits in front of her computer and reads power points. The overall class includes a lot of common sense and she provides lots of extra credit opportunities, but she will put you to sleep.

Ann is a really sweet person but her class is insanely redundant! I was so excited to learn current nutrition information but was disappointed to find out that she teaches from a 1920 standpoint. AVOID TAKING HER CLASS! It's super boring and very flawed by her inability to hear her students!

Comment:

I took this class my first semester after returning to college after being away from school for several years. I wasn't sure how I would do in a class that required quite a bit of speaking in front of the class (not my favorite thing). However, Ann made the class enjoyable and I had a lot of fun. I recommend this course for the Diversity credit.

Professor Rupp does not keep up with current information in her field, and avoids student questions at all costs. The class is not difficult, but if you are taking it because you actually have some interested in the subject do not take her. She will give you outdated and unclear information.

She is a very sweet lady that offers a ridiculous amount of extra credit. Her class is VERY boring to sit through because it is all powerpoint but the tests and worksheets are extremely easy. The labs go by pretty fast. The only bad thing are the lab reports but she gives you a pretty good outline to off of.

I enjoyed her class very much, she often encouraged open discussions, and class participation and groups were mandatory. Because of her teaching method I made friends with most of my classmates, great teacher!

Energetic and Caring but doesn't keep up with current iformation. Pushes the students to use the Scientific Method when making decisions about food yet doesn't use it herself. It's obvious with her opinions about food that are not based on current facts. Practically spoon feeds you the information so if you don't do well then it's your own fault.

Ms. Rupp was determined not only to make sure you succeed, but understand the material and find it useful to your own life. All expectations were clear and lots of extra credit opportunities. Did use a lot of Powerpoint, and make sure you speak up because she is hard of hearing. I truly enjoyed and learned a lot from this class. It was challenging.

I really hate this class. 3 hours worth of powerpoint is a killer. She is not helpful, and rude if you ask her a question. The entire class hates her! Really I would never tell anyone to take this class!!! She is eating my soul!
