Brilliant material and very good at lecturing but I found her really rough when you go for help. Just seems friendlier in class..

Fantastic prof! Getting up for 8:30 was no problem and I kind of missed the lectures when they ended. I had to do very little studying of lecture material as she made it memorable. Great!

The BEST professor I ever had in 4 years at McGill. Really cares about issues- and puts all the dry theory to practical use- anthropology of development was the best class I ever took at McGill-not intimidating in the least. Made my IDS degree worthwhile

She is wonderful, and she puts everyone at ease. Extremely patient and likes her job. Fair grading system. Don't bother with the optional conferences though, the TAs were not helpful.

Has an insatiable appetite for trivia and her class is often an uncritical celebration of all things Canadian. Save time and just watch the CBC instead.

Great teacher, but a lot of reading for a 200 level class... Still, she's enthusiastic, and probably the nicest, most non-threatening prof I've talked to at McGill. Take her class! But be prepared to read....
