Dr. Grotans is a great professor. She is genuinely interested in teaching and learning from her students. Her classes are interactive, interesting, and enjoyable. She is very reasonable with grading and homework, and she always addresses questions and problems to the upmost of her ability. Seriously, she's one of the best professors I've ever had.

Anna is a great teacher, like all of the other comments have said. I have no complaints about her. I took her this past spring quarter after being abroad for 7 months in Germany. While I thrived in Germany, I very much dislike most of the German teachers at OSU. Luckily, Anna reminded me why I took German in the first place.

I graduated from OSU almost eight years ago and am working on my second masters since then--so, I've had a lot of professors here and in Europe. That said, Anna ranks as the most inspiring professor I have ever had. In class, she was excellent! As an advisor, she encouraged me to venture beyond my comfort zone. I miss being around her enthusiasm!
