She made stats clas so easy to understand for me! I really suck at math and she really takes the time to explain you things over. In her midterms and final you are allowed a cheat sheet which is a lot of help. Really considerate of her students and her exams. Watch out for the online weekly quizzes! Kind of hard and timed.

Overall, the class was somewhat interesting. The midterm consisted of short answers that are from lectures/slides and MC from the textbook. For the textbook, read everything, don't just focus on definitions. The final is about the same as the midterm for format and difficulty. It is also non-cumulative. The assignment is a grade booster.

She didn't know her material. At least 30% of lectures were her rereading her own notes.

Professor Bowker is nice. I took it online and really liked the class and her, I just felt she talked a little slow, so I sped up the videos. She seems interested in her students, and I just wish the people in class participated more. She was keen on participation, and students in class were so shy!! Take the class :)

A really nice prof, lots of material covered during classes. The exam formats is textbook for multiple choice and lectures for short answer. She pauses a lot to look at her notes, doesn't keep your attention well so the class feels boring even though material is interesting. It makes it seem like she doesn't know the material very well.

A lot of material is covered, but the exams are fair (m/c, short answer, and essay). She's very helpful outside of class. She even gave out an email address to contact her on MSN at any time.

I felt compelled to write a review, simply due to the comment below. Anne is one of the nicest profs in the dept. Expectations of students were made entirely clear - it was a graduate seminar! I'm shocked to see that someone would write something like that, considering there were only 10 people in the class. Couldn't be farther from the truth.

A really good teacher. She is well-spoken, very funny and brings lots of interesting real-life examples and anecdotes to her lectures to illustrate ideas. She explains the material in a way that is easy to understand. Exams are fair. I'm in my 3rd year and she is definitely one of the better teachers I've ever had.

Hands down my favorite teacher!!! Her lectures are interesting, and she somehow maintains your attention from beginning to end. Exams as well as assignments are very fair. Her exam and mid-term outline/questions are basically what will be on the exams. Go to the lectures and follow her outlines and you will have a guaranteed A.

Great professor! This class was taught well, she even changed the times from 8:30 to 9:00 because it was a Friday morning lecture and she knew it would be beneficial to us! Throughly knows the material! Exams are equally made from textbook and class lectures, but she gives a very detailed outline so studying is straightforward!
