Comment:
I believe Professor Bresnock is knowledgeable about her field. She is well qualified, and seems to know what she's talking about. That being said, she comes off as very rude and sometime even arrogant, and is very unapproachable if one has questions (or God forbid, comments). She is super old school, and super technophobic. I don't recommend.

You dose off for 3 seconds and suddenly your failing the midterm. She does not explain the material too well. She has her own website and it's kind of annoying. Try to avoid this professor if you want an actual understanding.

I have nothing nice to say. She is the wrong professor for the class. The book doesn't do a good job at clarifying what she is lecturing on. She uses an antiquated personal website for her course materials, which is a real hassle when the other courses are all on blackboard. She's RUDE to anyone asking a question; wrong prof for the class.

Arrogant and way too difficult. Her objective is not that students succeed, but rather that she is in control and that we know it. She scoffed at my mention of looking for youtube videos and other resources to help better understand the material. She refuses to use blackboard, instead using some homemade earthlink site from 1995. her way or no way

After I failed the first midterm from not learning from her very unique teaching method, she told me I could drop during week 5 or I could fail the class. I visited the department tutors every MWF the last half of the quarter to pass with a B. Be ready to visit the dept. if you take her. Also, the dept. tutor office has a microwave with no line(:

This is a basic Econ class, it's a GE class. I'm not looking to major in this field; I had to take this class. There is absolutely no reason to make it as unnecessarily difficult as she did. Every single thing she said was annoying to hear.

I went through school hating teachers that made me explain my thought processes in my answers. I got the answer, I know the material, I don't need to explain myself. This was the first time I was ever given a multiple choice quiz where, not only do you have to explain why every answer is correct, but also explain why every other answer is incorrect

Dr. Bresnock is old school. She has high expectations for her students because she has high expectations for herself. She might go through some grandma-ish rants, but she is very intelligent in her field. If economics is your thing you could probably have conversation with her for hours on end. theres 7 take home quizzes 2 tests and 1 final. easy!

Do not take her unless you rather teach yourself out of the book! Even than not sure if thats enough for her tests! She is awful and blames the students for her bad teaching. The highest grade for the midterm was a low C! Than she says if you fail she gives the student a W, most likely because she doesn't want to show so many F's.

She is a one of a kind professor without a doubt. She is extremely knowledgeable in economics. Staying awake in her class may prove to be difficult, but just know that any class time that you miss will greatly hinder your understanding. Best method is to become interested in her because she is actually really funny and sweet under her exterior.

She is the absolute worst!!!! She expects you to know everything before even learning it. She yells at you if u don't do exactly what she likes and she has the most boring class of all time. The highest midterm grade out of our entire class was a C. What ever you do don't take this professor she is the worst I've ever had!!!!!

When I received my first weekly quiz, I was pretty surprised that we have to provide reasons for multiple choice questions with each choice we selected. However, by having us complete additional activities like this really motivated most of us to improve our knowledge towards the modern economy and ability to analyze various situations in general.

She's really passionate about her teaching but her class is really hard, if you miss a day you're going to be confused, don't even purchase the book it was a waste of money, study her lecture everyday & memorize them ps. don't ask questions or sneeze, if you don't understand something she makes you feel stupid & says "Universal God bless"lol
