I took her intro to mythology class online and would NOT recommend. Her class is very reading heavy, and there's a group essay which was almost impossible. Her instructions are also not very clear and it makes the class a pain. If you wanna take mythology don't take online!! Or take another professor.

Grading material wasnt clear, no explanation on how assignments were to be done. Took off random points for things that werent explained. She is NOT open for questioning. Her tone in emails and on the phone were unwelcoming.

A stickler for grammar and MLA formatting in all essay submissions (short or long). Great lectures for an online class, enjoyable content if interested in mythology. Responsive and willing to work with you under reasonable terms. Does require a group project. PARTICIPATE, READ and DO NOT procrastinate. Your grade will reflect participation.

I would not recommend her at all. Pick another teacher if you can. She isn't clear on if you have to turn in drafts or not, does not support non-popular opinions, and takes forever to grade. Rarely gives out an A on essays after the practice one. If you miss one assignment you will more than likely not get close to an A.

I am such a nerd and I love school, do all my work on time and don't mind going the extra mile for my grades and this class has been the absolute worse. Instructions are unclear and professor does not explain why you get the grade you get. Way too much reading and she grades opinionated essays as if they were an dissertation. DO NO TAKE HER !!!!!

Made up class# Mythology. Tough but fair. Has high expectations of students as she should. Told me she doesn't like group work, but it's required by college. I was in a group of 4-one was very lazy-I appreciated that Duncan couldwould monitor and held that person accountable-she did not get a good grade at all and that's what she deserved.

She is a very tough grader. She makes you buy the textbook which I found out is her book. I received 60's and 70's on papers that I worked very hard on. I believe her class would have been better if it was a sit-in class. Online courses are not her specialty. DO. NOT. TAKE. THIS. ONLINE.

I missed an entire weeks worth of class work with out a valid excuse. Still pulled a 78 which was bumped up to an 80 for my final grade. Very fair with grading. Helpful and open to questions. Highly recommend for all types of students.

JUST DO YOUR ASSIGNMENTS PEOPLE!!! She's really not that bad if you just do what shes asks you to do. I'm making a solid B but I could be doing so much better if I actually put more effort into this course. She's really not that bad. She wont hand you an A by any means.. but this is college, and you shouldn't be handed anything. READ!!

Would not recommend for Mythology online. The course was well structured as far as content (which was high quality) but this class was still too difficult for an online English class IMHO. Grading seemed inconsistent among the other students and I and she assigns an online group project where she picks who you work with.

She's rude and has ancient practices. She has you do a group paper for which she wants to monitor the group work or you get a zero. She just throws grades at you with no feed back, even the discussions were hit or miss. TRY to take ANY other class! Passable but just not worth it, just try to take ANY OTHER CLASS!

I have taken her for multiple courses, each required for my minor. She lacks personality and says things without speaking beforehand. She has taught at SFA for over 40 years, and it clearly shows. I found her assignments and quizzes easy, if they are multiple choice. But if you offer her an analysis that she has not thought of, be prepared to fail.

Interesting class. The only thing is that there is 2 group projects, which I didn't like. I took her online, and managed to get a B in her class. She has virtual office hours where you can ask her questions and she'll respond.:)

Don't take online class unless you have to. Although quizzes are fairly easy, the essay questions on the test are completely random. You write 2 group papers, of which there is no rubric that you are graded by (she makes up the grade). Be ready to READ A LOT. There are 7 modules, and each has over 150 pages to read. She stays behind on grading

Don't...just don't. I took her online class and got an A, but it was not without a lot of headache. Her quizzes were completely impractical and she set no expectations and gave NO feedback. She basically just make up grades. And an online, group paper?! Seriously?! She just doesn't make sense. Stay away unless you have an excess amount of Advil..

Loved her! She was nice and helpful. Easy grader. Took it online, so only 1 quiz, which you could study for. Do the discussion questions and essays and you'll get an easy grade. Just check on your punctuation and grammer.
