Dr. Conn is undoubtedly a spectacular professor who really cares about her students. Not only is she funny and personable, but she makes lectures interesting. Her quizzes are nothing short of difficult but partial credit really saves you. I am very happy that I got to take her even though I fell a bit short of an A.

She's honestly a great professor, I'm glad to have had the opportunity to take her this quarter. Her quizzes were very straightforward and they were generous with the partial credit. I felt like she focused more on getting us to actually learn how to do the class material rather than just grading us based on our ability to get the right answer

Comment:

One of the best Professors at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UCSD. Her class is relatively difficult, but she uploaded her well-written lecture notes and it helps us a lot. Strongly recommended!!!

Was great for Statics, but clearly Dynamics was not her forte. She would get herself confused with her own examples and just move on. Quizzes ranged from hw-like to abstract equation derivations which nobody knew how to do. If you take her, master pulley problems. She LOVES pulleys.

Just do homework problems until you know the entire problem solving process like the back of your hand. Posts the solutions online over the weekend. BTW, she likes pulley problems... Dynamics is tricky, but she will help ease the painful learning experience. She's a very wonderful lady too :)

Second chance quizzes for every 2, which are usually trickier than the first time. Lectures help your understanding but are not necessary...says she hates 8am but her class always is anyway. NOT an easy A. Have to work hard for a solid B and there is no curve. Posts helpful HW solutions and gives weekly quizzes and "second chance quizzes" after every 2 which are a little harder than the originals, so study hard the first time. Also a week 10 project. Didn't find it worth going to all the 8am lectures but the class structure is great.

She is awesome! Very clear and neat lecture style. She is genuinely concerned for her students and she does a good job in helping us out. Grade depends mostly on quizzes, but they are very fair(if you do the homework you should be good) and she even allows second chance quizzes every 2 quizzes so that you may improve your score. Take her!!!

Great professor, lectures are easy to understand. Quiz questions come directly from homework + lecture examples, so make sure you do the homework and go to lecture for her examples. She gives second chance quizzes for those who did bad on one of their quizzes; final questions were from homework/lecture examples also.
