Great teacher and to the guy that is surprised that the formula for standard deviation was on a finance exam all I can say is what is wrong with you? The people that have a problem are just lazy bums that complain if they don't do well. Great attitude, sweet demeanor, and easy on the eys. I owe my CFA in large part to Anne's class!

Go to every class, do the problems in the book more than once and you should be alright. I thought the way she did the hard chapters (options and capital structure) were very well taught and by the end i was almost an expert. Also read the book since she can be too fast at times.worst part was pop quizes. Sum which were on the lecture on the sameda

It was an 8 am class and i fell asleep like everytime. Yet she still managed to get in this stuff in my head. She is funny, charming, very approachable and will give you so much useful info., she even admitted most of the stuff in this course is useless. I also fell inlove with her, if only she was younger and not married, she'll never know me :(

I liked her. Very helpful with questions, nice self-deprecating sense of humor. The midterm was pretty fair and i hope the exam will be the same way. And one good thing is that she always makes sure ppl are clear on whats going on by asking the class if they have any questions periodically. No complaints, enjoying the class so far.

unorganized prof. she cancelled 2 8AM classes and then rushed through the material, very basic stuff only. doesn't work out any problems, just a lot of talk. no review for exams, no extra help and classes always end early. 2 minute quizzes of the material she is teaching that morning. tests are long and hard. not recommended

got very dissapointed with her.... she would teach 1 hour out of 3 hours lecture and let us go home. had to study everything from the book... lecture before the midterm was like 40 minutes long - no rehersal, no examples. she did not even tell us the test format. does not care about her class at all!

Only had this instructor when she was subbing for Mike. Really funny and knowledgeable pair. The course is lots of work but both instructors have a great way of presenting the concepts in a down-to-earth and realistic manner.

Don't believe most of the comments about Anne. She is a great prof who makes difficult concepts as easy to understand as possible. And don't depend on the textbook - GO TO CLASS to find out what you need to know. If you want to succeed, copy down example problems and their solutions exactly the way she does them - you'll need these for the exam.

If you like investments you will most likely enjoy Anne's classes. She is not the ordinary boring easy marks Ayce Yuce or MacKiness type of prof. So if you want to learn and have the ability to work independently (readings and excel spreadsheets) Anne will help you. But if you like to be spoon fed avoid her classes and consider switching major

Most of the people here dont know what they are talking about. Anne Inglis is probably the best professor for finance. Dont blame her becuase you people didnt want to study. You have to work in the class obviously, she makes it so much easier to do so. Answers questions clearly, explains all course material well. Wonderful prof.

Anne might be a nice lady, but she is lousy at explaining things or teaching. She plays favourites, she doesnt answer emails, she doesnt take up work, she doesnt explain things well....what more can i say...the class was interesting, but the teaching was awful...im not kidding!

She doesn’t reply emails, doesn’t check the assignments, doesn’t teach the readings, doesn’t help in the cases, and VERY unclear about what she wants!

Anne is a good person, but she doesn't know how to explain herself. She is very unclear with what she wants and she is no help with the cases she gives. Some of her test question are really pointless, and some test questions she never even taught in class. Who the hell remembers the formula for standard deviation?

The biggest uncertainty we had was about what she will put on the test. Its not about difficulty of material or having to think and problem solve, its about being able to look at the most stupid material she can ask, like listing the countries that have private bourses, I don't like useless questions...BUT overall I did well...So THANK YOU ANNE :)

Tell you what, this teacher is very good, one of the best teacher at the school. If you have head on your shoulders you will pass this class. The class has a lot of material that teaches the concept of "uncertainty" in financial realm, that is why many don't like it. Y.

I liked her for FIN300- but she was horrible for FIN401:You are on your own,and final exemplified her typical Don't care attitude. After we learned and did book questions on our own, final had a hard case from first part material.Final did NOT test our knowledge, confusing questions, some from material not included in course.Take her for300,NOT 401!

I think i lost knowledge rather than gaining anyhting.... sorry people but you must avoid this woman at all costs if you have her for an upper level finance course. I would rather learn finance from an arts teacher than to have Anne teach me.

She does not teach step my step. No answers are given to you so you have to figure it out all by yourself. No guidance on the test. Whatever mentioned in class, even if for 10 sec will show up on the exam, and you'll fail badly. She is the slowest professor in replying emails. She is a good person, though. But not a great teacher.
