Overall, this was an easy course material wise. She goes at a good pace and there's a good balance between french and english. She was also helpful to most students as long as they put in some effort. The only thing I don't like about her is that she embarrasses people in front of the class and says rude comments, which are unnecessary.

do not take the 3-hour do not take the 3-hour do not take the 3-hour. the lectures are painfully long and boring. it's a writing emphasis course so there are papers due every week&you have to correct each paper and hand it in a 2nd time. only 1 maybe 2 tests so your grade is mainly based on your papers; relatively easy A but so so boring

She made ITA 102 way harder than it should have been. She would instruct the class almost solely in Italian, and none of us are fluent so I'm not sure why she did that. I often missed assignments because I couldn't understand her. But she's an easy grader and a nice, helpful person as well.

In an Italian course, you really should be speaking Italian. Loved her, and was an easy A; I learned as well. You'll get out of it what you put in. She's always available to help, very sweet, and altered the curriculum a few times based on the students' needs. Accommodating and clear, would definitely take her again, sad to change professors!

She speaks in all Italian so being in 101 I was completely lost throughout the semester. She is a really sweet lady but I never knew what was going on. Quizzes are weekly and she tells you exactly what will be on them. No tests or midterm, only the quizzes and a final. If you're taking to really learn, don't take her. Otherwise its an easy A

She has been my favorite French professor so far at WCU. I have had 3 different ones and she was by far the most helpful and easy. She does not expect you to know the answers and really tries to help you understand.

Prof really wanted everyone to do well and succeed. She adjusted curriculum and her expectations many times. Explained grammar concepts VERY well-best of any French teacher I have ever had(including high school). She does expect you to try your hardest and put in a lot of time, which may be a turn off to someone taking a level 100 class-work hard!

She is rude, unhelpful, and tactless. Berates students in front of the class and expects you to be fluent at the 102 level. I am a disability student and she was cruel and unaccommodating. I am not moving on to FRE 201 because of how awful she is. Very strict on attendance. Take someone else, you won't regret it.

She was nice most of the time. There were times when she would be snappy with students who were not eager to participate. There wasn't a lot of homework so it was tough to learn the material. She made everyone present from memory in Italian and then criticized people who did not do well. I didn't think that was very nice.

She is a very good professor who focuses on the student! In class you will do a verbal presentation, but it is less than 5 min long and very helpful. If you put in the work, you will do very well!

I absolutely recommend this professor to anyone that asks. I'm a French major with an Italian minor, so she's perfect for me. She's a tough lady, but it is because she actually cares. She knows how to present material so every student gets it. She will work with you on just about anything if you make an honest effort.

She is not the most friendly of professors. She is helpful and wants you to learn the material. The only thing I did not appreciate was that she makes you do a verbal presentation that is 100% memorized. Then she berates each student on what they did wrong in front of the entire class which I found to be very inappropriate.

Her class was really easy but she talks in Italian from day one so she was very hard to understand. I did not learn enough in the class to move onto ITA 102. If you want an easy A, take her but do not expect to learn much.

Great teacher. A little hard to understand. She speaks French and Italian, so being a French major, communicating with her was a bit easier for me. She talks in Italian all class, for the most part. Pretty easy grader, she just wants to see you trying.

Some of the most beautifully spoken French I've ever heard. Interesting professor. Believes in students teaching students, so be prepared to give public speeches in French. No English in class. Only warning: she takes absence extremely personal, so attendance is a MUST. Can be difficult to get along with, but the class was invaluable.

I have had the pleasure of having Dr Moscatelli as a professor in both French (301,304,420) and Italian (101, 102). She is a very difficult teacher but the work that you do in her classes will pay off. She loves her students! Dr Moscatelli is for more advanced level classes as she does demand a lot of work which can overwhelm students.
