Comment:

Anne Matheus is a very nice person. However, I received an A in her class and feel like I learned absolutely nothing. Every class is a lecture with an occasional activity and she doesnt take attendance. She doesnt have control over the classroom and when people start talking she just lets them talk. The homework, midterm and final are a breeze.

Comment:

Excellent, caring human-being who understands little mistakes and will not let your grade suffer because of them. But, most importantly is a great teacher who really gave a great background into the future CMPT we all have to take. I devote my interests in computational business to her. Excited to take her for Data-comm next semester!

Had Professor Matheus once a week, and you really do not need to show up to this class to pass. There are tests that are taken online during class, assignments and labs posted online each week, and she lets you know when things are due. Just study the slides she posts on line and read the book, and you will pass with flying colors.

Anne is awesome! She is so nice and super helpful! She tries her best to make class interesting and she doesn't just read off of a power point. Tests are very easy as long as you study. Most of the time she gives you a word for word question guide plus easy extra credit. Definitely take her!!

Compared to her intro level ITS course, higher level courses with Anne Matheus are way better. You can see she definitely knows her stuff and she doesn't baby the class (ok, just a little). You'll learn a lot from her class and you'll enjoy it too. Homeworks are dead easy and tests are not bad either - fill-in with a word bank and multiple choice.

Anne is one of the nicest, most helpful professors you can take. That being said, do not choose to take her if you want to learn a lot. For certain courses (e.g. Project Management) she is great. For other things, like learning database fundamentals, you should avoid her.

Anne is such a great professor. She will make every effort to help you out and answer any questions. I had her for Data Com, which honestly I felt was a little too easy... I wished we looked at certain topics a little more in depth. I was actually somewhat surprised how basic this was for a 400 level course; but I would still recommend her.

Dr. Matheus is great. She is very nice and is always willing to help you out whether you're in or out of class. Classes are so much fun. She's always promoting conversations with people. I didn't really learn a whole lot from ITS concepts, but she has you do a lot of group presentations and teach each other which is good.

One of the nicest, most helpful people I've met since starting at Marist. ITS130 is not supposed to be hard, and if you have any interest in computers/internet at all, you will enjoy it and get an A. Don't slack off on the mini-projects though... they count a lot.
