Comment:

Honestly, the worst professor. I took this class as it was required and this was the only time that was available. Very weird about a lot of things, kinda pushes her views onto the class. Grading is very vague, but it is a pretty easy class. She is not very good at rubrics and this will result in you losing points. Avoid this professor!

Comment:

Super easy at times, but unclear of instructions. Assignments can be redone for full credit. You have studios outside of class which are super easy. Just criteria for grading is not always clear which is annoying. Pretty easy class, and sometimes you do random assignments. You have to put in work for an A but its not insanely difficult.

Attendance is mandatory. She gives one quiz per week on chapter readings. Chapter readings are 30+ pages each week. She cancels class randomly and a lot. She shows a lot of videos. Overall, stressful course but I would take her again.

I really liked Ms. Pierce. Her class was pretty easy. The 1st exam is in a blue book in class and the last 2 exams including the final are take home tests. Her classes never last over an hour unless she shows a movie. She even cancels class every now and then.

She always cancels class & on the rare occasion she does show up, the lecture usually last maybe 30 minutes or we'll watch a movie. The 1st test was in a blue book but the 2nd was take home along with the final (both were papers). Easy A, just make sure you buy the book.

Class is really easy. Lectures are information straight out of the book. She always lets us out early (for night class). Quizzes for attendance are on the readings. Tests are short answer and identification. Pretty easy class if you pay attention. Expect for her to cancel class at least once!

Great professor! Usually lectures but shows the occasional video. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews that others have posted, if you read the chapter, show up to class, and read through the definitions before each test an A is easy to obtain. Her quizzes are on the reading and are easy. If possible I will take her again, no doubt about it!

She really was such a sweet and caring woman. She may not be in class all the time but if you need help and talk to her she WILL help you! Go to class for attendance and quizzes. Get the book because you'll need to read the chapters. And DONT COMPLAIN about her not showing up when you've read Rate my professor and already know she cancels.

Each and every class goes on for about 5 to 10 minutes. You might not even see her for the first two weeks of the class. You can use the textbook or you could use MyHistoryLab which gives you the answers to the questions she will use for every single quiz in her class! Dont ask about your grades either cause you wont know until the semester is over

Probably the nicest, easiest teacher you will take at UNCC. I had her for Disease & Medicine in History and Western Culture. She doesnt give much work, cancels class ALOT and shows a good number of videos and has never ran class to the full time once since I've had her. She tells you what she expects of you and when. Easy A.

Had her multiple times. Takes attendence every class, even if that's literally all you'll do that day. 2 Exams, 1 final. Quizzes every week (fades away at end of semester) Missed about 6 classes, about 10 lasted 5-15 minutes. I got an A, just study the key terms and knwo the who/what/when/where/why.

Easy teacher, and funny. You'll have 2 to 3 blue book exams, and a book report, she grades very fair. Attendance is mandatory but she also cancelled class a hand full of time. I got an A in the class and its an easy B, but with light studying you can get an A no problem. I would for sure take her again.

Do not take her class. It is really boring and she talks to fast to take notes. She writes keywords on the board and that's about it. Canceled class about 4 times and her test are pretty hard. They are composed of short answer ID's, essay, and triplet ID's. AGAIN: DO NOT TAKE HER!

Only 2 lectures throughout the whole semester, one for each test: the midterm & final. She talks fast and you really don't know what you need to take notes on, but it's not too bad. The rest of the time you watch movies. Very boring movies about a very boring class. Mini essays about boring movies. Easy A.

Boring lectures or videos, I personally thought the tests were extremely difficult but the moodle assignments are extremely easy. She cancels class a lot, and completely cut out one of the books we were supposed to read towards the end. I would probably not take her again if I had a better choice..

Terrible. I hated this class.It is classes like these that make me feel like I am wasting my time. All we did was watch movies, write small papers, and have a couple assignments. It is easy, don't me wrong. But attendance was mandatory and she is so disorganized and the movies made me want to die. She also takes forever to grade.

Soooo....she probably only missed 2-5 classes but class usually was really short, a movie, or very rarely an entire lecture. Oh yeah, you might have to write a 400 word "paper" or two. You don't need to know any of it so everyone stayed until attendance was taken :)

I stopped going to class and still got an A. She rarely shows up, she never replies to emails, all you do is watch movies and write 300 words on it. A joke of a class if I ever saw one
