She never 'understands' the essays you write. Treats students like children and is rude about it. If you ask a question she humiliates you if she thinks you should know the answer. when you meet with her out of class she is not as rude but defiantly not nice. Be ready for your essays to be talked badly about

What a lady, she's quite interesting. LOTS of rough drafts and little papers due. For the three main essays she's not clear AT ALL on what to write about. Even when you see her individually she's not that much more of a help. She's really not that bad if you get put into her class, but if you can I would try finding a different professor

Very helpful if you go to office hours. You have to put the time into the class if you want to do well. I got an A, so it is definitely not impossible. It was my favorite class of the semester. She is very nice if you try and participate in class

I really enjoyed the class. As long as you do the work and go to her office hours for help, you will do fine. I went to her office hours for every essay and received very good grades. I would definitely recommend taking this class if you like to write and have time to spend doing so. She is a very nice person!

horrible. she tells you what she looks for in an essay, but when you do what she says, it's wrong. i tried hard on all of the essays and got c's on all of them. the one essay i didnt try on i also got a c. she has favorites and if youre from L.I. or the city, you have no hope

She is so vague when assigning essays. She'll tell you to do 3 different things, but if you do what she says throughout the "writing process" aka following her through her craziness you'll do ok. I don't recommend her but some did like her so I guess she's a love/hate type deal.

Wiegs is an overall writing freak, but I really believe she is a good professor. I'm not saying I would take her again, but I did improve my writing in class and I give her credit for that. She may come off as a little wacky and out there in the start of the semester, but you'll get use to it. All in all, shes not sooo bad.

i'm not sure why everyone dislikes wiegard so much. i think she is very nice. sure, she's a little left of center, but who isn't? he is, however, difficult to understand, and it's nearly impossible to give her what she wants on the first try. i would take her again though.
