The class was very interesting and Archer made you critically think about the subject. Most people who fail can neither write nor think critically, he wants real thinkers who want to learn. He is definitely pro-black, spending much time on racial issues and favoring black students. I liked his class but wish he was more organized and not so raciall

Archer allows you to speak your mind, however loves to hear himself talk more. I think he tried to focus too much on Black History and racism. We spent alot of time watching videos. He doesn't prepare you well at all for tests, especially not the final. He's a nice guy though. I enjoyed his class for the most part.

Tests are from the assigned reading, but he did not lecture on it for more than 5 min. a class. Cancelled or missed 1/4 of the scheduled classes. Lecture time was spent watching movies about racism and black culture. I would STRONGLY recommend not taking this class. This was the worst teacher I have ever had.

Teaching skills aside, he decided to divide our class by male and female and only lecture to the males, answer their ?'s, etc.When I confronted him about this injustice he became inflamed and yelled, "This is my class and I'll run it however I want young lady." Needless to say, if you beleive in equal treatment of men & women, don't take this prof.

Terrifyingly awful! No doubt in my mind that he or his kids wrote up all the good reviews. This guy is spotty, plays favorites, stern in his own opinion disallowing for original thought, and will only pass you if you can speak like Thomas Jefferson.

Great class, took awhile to get assignments back, but he has alot of classes so I understood. Very thought provoking and I loved the open forum and discussions. Highly recommend this class.
