If you have an interest in art or history of photography, you must take his classes.He is funny and engaging.Has a great sense of humor. Moves very fast, so be sure to take careful notes. Exams are based only on what we have learned during class, so you have to show up or have a friend who will share notes. Two classes with him. Would take more.

Professor Lee is one of the reasons I chose Mount Holyoke--I sat in on his class as a prospie. He's a fantastic lecturer, always flawlessly prepared for class, and brings in lots of old cameras to pass around. The readings won't show up on the exams but take good notes on his lectures. One of my all-time favorites!

Good lecturer. Excellent organization and grasp of his subject. Can be funny and entertaining, but you really need to take good notes (not always easy because he moves fast) and pay attention. Study for his exams; do NOT blow things off on that score. Would definitely take another class with him.

He's very clear and very organized. This class is what made me decide to major in Art History. His class is like listening to a really interesting story with incredible artwork to illustrate it. He's also very interested in what his students have to say and not condescending at all. It was a very enjoyable and interesting class that I learned a lot from. He?s now my major advisor, and I hope to take another class with him in the future.

PROFESSOR LEE IS AWESOME! He's so bright and cheery in the morning. His lectures are great. Yes, he prepares very well for them, so some may call them "staged". I disagree, however, that it is difficult to take notes. Lectures are structured, precise and clear. He's one of my favorite Profs at MHC! The Art Hist dept is lucky to have him.

One of the top worst teachers I have had at MHC. Does not teach the field - everything is ideologically determined. Cut three classes with no explanation.Most 19th cen. art gets missed out - and you better agree with his politics or expect a B or worse.
