Provides lecture notes and gives good examples in class. Pretty much as easy elective to take, midterms consists of multiple choice.

Comment:
Anthony is good. posts lecture outlines but his lectures are purely talking and elaborating on the points. He literally just talks for two hours, wrote probably five or six words on the board all semester. Attendance to his classes are very low, the assigned articles and lecture outlines are sufficient to pass. Overall nice guy and good prof.

I found Micucci to be very hard to pay attention to. His lecture outlines were beneficial, but I really found I had to read a lot of the book to understand the course. He is a very nice prof and will schedule hours outside of class to meet with you, but just super difficult to follow in class.

Extremely knowledgeable in his field, his lectures are fantastic. Apply yourself you will do great but you do need to work for a good mark, kind of a tough grader buts its fine if you know the material. Gives good notes, no text. Makes otherwise dry material very interesting, really makes you think about the topic, super thankful that I had him.

Comment:
I took 3290 this semester. He provided us with outlines for all lectures which really helped. Testing was pretty easy just a test, midterm, and final. I would highly recommend actually going to the class because he often, gives out hints towards which articles he would pick for tests and possible multiple choice questions.

I've had Anthony for 4 courses now and he is better to have for online courses (3290, 3395). His course notes are interesting and clear, and he takes pretty much all of his test questions word for word from his notes. You do need to study but he tends to make the course content interesting and fairly easy. Would take him again if I had the chance!

I took Soci 3290 by distance. I found the course material interesting and Prof. Micucci responded to emails quickly and adequately. There are two midterms and a final, along with discussion posts. The tests are mostly multiple choice and I found them to be really tricky - things worded weirdly and lots of "A & B" or "none of the above." Study hard.

I was not a fan of him what so ever. His hand motions are so distracting that I spent most of the time watching his hands rather then actually listening to him. If you do not take notes, you do not have notes. He also tests things that are not in the text book. If you are a first year student I 100% would not recommend.

Class is fairly interesting, but his lectures can be very repetitive, basically stating the same fact for ten minutes changing the wording slightly. His examples can be funny however, but he LOVES to talk about his daughter.

He's horrible. Won't respond respectfully to students and his tests don't accurately reflect the material. Avoid at all costs.

I found this prof very distracting, although he was a nice guy he did not seem to really care much about his students. He does not give notes so be prepared to write a lot, and tests are tough, tough grader. His lectures were not boring, they were quite interesting, but I found that what he discussed in class was not similar to the tests.

Took a few days for him to respond to emails. Tests are clear and well organized. His online lecture notes are a duplicate of the text book, so you can probably get away without the book. Overall a pretty good prof even though he isn't in St. John's!

I took this class by distance and overall I found it pretty tough! No textbook, just readings that he posted. Expected very detailed answers on exams, and is a very tough grader, gave me a 4.5/10 on my first midterm essay question because I forgot one point! Overall, I would not recommend.

Do not take a course with Miccuci if you're easily distracted by hand movements and frequent pacing. He is very passionate about sociology, especially crime and deviance, which he will mention many times. Loves to talk about his daughter. Take lots of notes in addition to his helpful outlines. Very entertaining and full of energy!

His lectures are very dry, and the hand motions are very distracting. He will let you know exactly what to expect for the tests, and even what sections the long answer come from. He is very boring though. barely attended class, got a B+ from the text book.

I personally found his classes to be boring however he was very clear with the course criteria. He sent out lecture outlines the night before class. I found it hard to stay awake in his classes. He is very knowledgeable but not that helpful or nice. His in-class examples were pointless. He talked about his daughter and his personal trainer.

Amazing prof! I actually loved going to his classes because he made everything so interesting.. which I cant say about many others. You should probably attend his class ona regular basis because what he says in class is on the majority of the test! Would definitely take a class of his again!

Very nice and approachable prof. His lectures at times can get a tad dry. Never uses powerpoints, fair marker, helps prepare you for your exams. Weren't many opportunities to get marks though, only two tests and the exam.

I took Deviance 3290 with Dr.Micucci through distance and I found him to be pretty good. His exams are fair and he tries to point you in the right direction with the readings. It seemed to me that he mostly wants you to regurgitate his notes and the textbook but other than that he is a decent Prof who grades fairly well :)
