I went into the semester expecting the worst because of these reviews, but they are misleading. Professor Pappas is a kind and reasonable professor. 2-3 chapters of reading a week, presentation on a topic (2 pages max), midterm, and a final. No homework, attendance and participation counts as well. Just dont be lazy and its an easy A.

Does not have a power point. One of the toughest graders. The lectures are boring. Takes attendance every class. During the Midterm and Final you are writing your arm off . He lets you choose 2 out of however many essay questions on the tests and then choose and define 6 key terms. Just be detailed and write as much as you can and know.

So I walked out of this class senior year thinking I got a D. I ended up with a B+.Thing is if you're willing to read the text a little, copy what he puts up and answer his trivia your fine. Its a good class if you dont wanna be bothered with a lot of course work and can read on your own. DO NOT TAKE if youre not an econ major and dont like reading

Hey was very unclear throughout the first part of the semester. Gave a lot of trivia questions and information that would not appear on the exam. No study guide. Midterm, final, which had a study guide but you have to study everything in history, and one paper. Do not take unless you are a hard worker.

He is terribly unclear , and is extremely boring. He is so poor at his job that on our first test the curve was so bad that a 73 was an A+. I had to apply pass fail so it wouldn't ruin my GPA. Avoid him at all costs!

I've had this class for 2 weeks and honestly, every time I have his class, I dread going. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BORING CLASSES IN THE HISTORY OF ECONOMICS. HE DOESN'T TEACH AND NOBODY KNOWS THE ANSWERS TO HIS IRRELEVANT QUESTIONS. HE MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE AND I QUESTION WHO GAVE HIM AUTHORITY TO RUN A CLASSROOM. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE

He's really a nice guy, but grades don't revolve around niceness. His class is so boring, all he does is just RAMBLE about random things. Two books and a paperpresentation; one midterm and one final. Avoid if possible, but if you're like me and stuck, write down whatever he writes on the board because his tests are essay format. Good luck.

Horrible Professor! Very unclear, and just rambles about things that are not relevant to the coursework. He assigns papers based on things he did not teach and is a very tough grader. Attendance is mandatory but you do not learn anything in the class. Avoid at all cost!

Don't take this professor who rattles on for 1 hr and 25 min. Nobody listens, nobody knows the answers to his irrelevant questions. He knows a lot but nothing new or interesting. Gpa fail and knowledge fail. Suddenly write 2 papers about untaught stuff and study 2 books for final~~

I honestly cannot tell you what the purpose of any class this semester has been. All he does is ask trivia questions like "who was in __ movie?" and ramble to himself about nonsense. Doesn't know how to grade at all either. Stay away.

This professor is the reason St John's University has lost it's prestige for so many years. You cannot possibly have a professor like this and expect to be considered a top university. He rambles to himself, fails most of his students without giving a reason, and might just be senile. As long as he remains on staff, St John's will remain 2nd rate.

We just got our midterms back. Most people failed. Even with the 40 point curve. Please don't take him if you value your gpa. He is very confusing very soft spoken, essentially he speaks to himself for an hour and twenty five minutes. There is a Midterm and Final. He does NOT help when you try to ask him questions. No extra credits. Just stay away

Easy professor! He is very nice, he speaks soft so sit in the front. His tests are all short answer. I wouldn't reccommend him if you have trouble with English (some international students didn't do well). He gives you the short answers before the test so just look up the answers and study. He makes some jokes. EASY A. JUST PAY ATTENTION!
