Took me a while to warm up to him but once I did I loved him. Lovably odd and quirky, approachable, and respectful of students. He's an intelligent guy and while this course in particular wasn't all that interesting I still learned a lot from hearing his opinions and general outlook on politics.

Dr. Sayers is amazing. This course isn't easy as he doesn't just expect you to understand, he expects you to analyze and apply what you've learned. He's also hilarious and super great to talk to, and he helped me with other classes as well. He's the most brilliant person I've ever spoken to, and I've never learned so much in a course before.

Good lecturer, although he goes off topic constantly he always has something insightful to say. Lots of reading involved from both the textbook and other readings, and he tests you on them. Very approachable, very willing to engage in conversation about anything political.

Great prof, attendance wasn't necessary as he posts lecture slides online. Textbook was very useful especially on quizzes. Fair on quizzes, takes 2bests/3 of the quizzes. Paper on the final was very straightforward and graded fairly. My only complaint was his TA (Lucas Czanercki) who is a tough grader w/ no considerations.

Great Prof! Lots of opportunity to do well! Paper topic announced well in advance. Fascinating and engaging lectures, fair tests and good tutorials. Sayers keeps things interesting in class and is approachable after/outside of class.

Stopped going to the lectures after a month. He rambles a lot. Nice enough person and kinda funny sometimes but not really an excellent teacher. I never felt like I gained anything from his classes. What I did learn, I learned on my own from the textbook and google. There's a few quizzes you have to show up for but other than that it's pointless.

I've had two classes with Dr. Sayers, both 400 level courses, and I have to say I do like the man. He's a very engaging, fun, and excitable professor. That being said he can get a bit distracted at times. I did get a poor grade on one final essay, but it didn't destroy my grade, so that's okay.

Great professor! currently in another one of his classes just because he was so intriguing. Knows what he is talking about and is very good at making sure you understand it. Take home final is kind of difficult, take good notes. Tells you what he wants for his papers so follow that.

He is a really good teacher. Takes something boring and gives you enough liberty to make it interesting. Also, one of the most "human" profs I've had.

Very funny, liked his lecture style and his mid-term was alright (he stopped deducting marks on M/C questions). He has taken too long to mark the papers and I have heard that he is a very hard marker, but still pretty good.

Nice enough guy, but his lectures turn into a giant discussion, which causes them to drag on and digress too far from the topic. Very vague lecture format, hard to follow, hard to pull any info out of the course.

Nice enough guy, easy enough course, but his lecture format makes things far more confusing than they have to be.
