GET A LIFE! Prof. Stephenson was very kind and helpful if you a)paid attn in class b) weren't disruptive. Sure 2 hours was long, but remember you chose this section. You could have chose to have class 4x a week. Class would have been more fun if certain students ever shut-up and let her teach.

PAIN IN THE ASS! She speaks all in french and refuses to give answer any questions in english. Homework every night! You are only allowed to miss 3 hours and it is a 2 hour class so you can only miss 1 1/2 classes! In all honesty - worst 4 hours of the week! ADVICE: GET ANOTHER TEACHER!

Class is almost unbearable. 2 hours is way too long, and she doesn't keep up the pace and keep you interested. Tests are fairly easy if you can teach yourself the material. She's big on listening and speaking. Explains grammar IN FRENCH, which makes it extremely difficult to understand. Rarely speaks any english in class.

Good intro French class. Prof. is approachable and is pretty good at responding to questions in class. Virtually no homework or assignments, class moves fairly slowly (yet faster than some of my friends' LF111 classes..) Tests are not easy, but by no means hard. Go to class, do the HW, participate, and look over conjugations before tests. Easy "A"

not particularly helpful. speaks entirely in french, which is ok, but sometimes concepts need to be explained in english. textbook is terrible & doesn't explain anything. prof. assumes you know basics & glosses over them. :(

A very nice and very helpful prof. The tests really are very easy if you look over everything youve done. Class is repetative and bland, but it's an intro language class and she does her best not to make a 2 hour class suck. The twitch is distracting, and the accent isn't French, it's Bostonian

well she's nice. true, most of the tests come straight from the homework and in-clas translations, but that doesn't mean that they're easy! compared to my teacher from LF 111, she was awesome. i really learned a lot in this class

ehhhh. she blatantly plays favorites and it's almost impossible to get through a two hour class with her. we watch the same videos and make the same verb charts every day. grading is arbitrary and too picky. avoid her if you can.

Very clear and easy to follow. Quizzes come directly from assignments done or gone over in class. Small amounts of homework, usually not even necessary to do. Just pass in the translations on time and you'll do great. High school level course.

madame stephenson is without a doubt awesome. this is my first year of a french class and she taught me so much. she is hard to follow sometimes because she tends to talk in french most of the time, and when she talks in english she uses a french accent.

Very helpful; expressive enough to make herself understood easily. Relaxed class makes learning fun and non-stressful. Tests are sometimes difficult, but this is offset by many projects.
