very difficult! but he's more than willing to help you with any concepts you might be struggling with. i probably wouldn't take him again because of that difficulty, but if you're particularly good with math then don't be dissuaded.

Closest i've ever came to getting a D in college and if he wasn't nice enough to let me do some test corrections, that's what i would've got so i respect him for giving me a chance. If you are not good at math, you need to suck it up and go to class everyday so you learn. His grading scale is a little unfair. Tests are 80pts while HW is only 3 to 5

He responds to emails promptly and gives several chances at end of semester to turn in homework or redo some homework. He is homework heavy though. He gives pretests and those are exactly like the tests. Both are easy. Very understanding on turning stuff in and redoing it to get a better grade.

Never take him for class. He grades super strictly, takes off points wherever he wants to, and is so specific about you showing work but never clarifies how much work he wants. He thinks we live in the stone age or something so he doesn't allow calculators and his tests are way too long for the time he gives you.

Overall this class has quite a bit of homework! the homework starts out fairly easy but it adds upon itself so DON'T get behind (beware) Besides the cumbersome homework load and difficulty (later on in class) there are only 3 tests (including final exam). You are allowed your book, notes, and graphing calculator per each test. Good luck!

He is awful. The tests are hard, and some tests you cannot use calculator. The worst part is that there are two quiz on dead week, and one quiz on final week due on the final day!! Never ever take his class!

I took his online class it's pretty well organized and easy. The homework takes a while but you are going to get all 100s on HW if you actually take the time you have unlimited tries. The tests are kind of HARD you WILL NEED to take notes as you do your homeworks.

The problem isn't his accent since he writes everything down. He thinks that helping each other and copying down his answers is plagiarizing. He also expects a lot of memorization and there are portions on the exams that are supposed to be done without a calculator.

You better sit upfront so you get a clear view of the chalkboard because you cannot understand a word this man says due to his thick accent. Thankfully, he writes down every little step required so all communication is not lost.

A tough accent to get around, and he repeats himself, literally 5-6 times on certain things that aren't that important. He grades fairly, but it's the participation-paper that's confusing. Do the packets, use your books and online power points for the online quizzes, and redo any questions you got wrong on the exams, and you should get an A, easy.

He really cares if students are learning the material. Nice and approachable, he tries to help his students out as best as he can; and he is always willing to go over something again if they need it. Thoroughly covered all required material; I feel nicely prepared for Calculus II. I really enjoyed his class and I would take him again in a second.

Just a warning to all considering Dr. Aluthge for online math. He is requiring students to download software that allows a proctor to watch and listen to you through your webcam and speakers. Super invasive, in my opinion, and I won't be taking him again. I've had him previously, but I will choose another professor for Calc I next semester.

Dr. Ari is a great teacher. His accent is difficult to get used to, but over time you don't even think about it. He is pretty funny in class and is rather personable. I would definitely take him again. The course was pretty easy.
